A couple of months ago, after feeling out all the fucking paper work, and copying all of the necessary documents, my food stamps were cut from $200 a month to $10. 10 fucking dollars. While I am making sure that my daughter eats well...I have to admit, that I haven't been eating as much. I have a fairly specialize diet that helps keep me realitively health and able to work, but the food is pricey and I can't afford it without food stamps...so now I'm trying to figure out which is worse...eating barely anything, but eating well when I do...or eating more, but eating shitty food that will only harm me.
My food stamps were cut because I am working part time as well as receiving SS. Even with both incomes I am well below the poverty level for two people, but apparently I'm reach enough to no longer need food stamps.
Now I have to fill out a bunch of paperwork to hopefully insure that my precious bundle continues to receive health insurance.
LOVE the system. I find it impossible to understand that people think that those who receive any kind of state aide are just lazy and have no desire to remove themselves from the system. When anyone who has been on any kind of aid knows that level of effort required to obtain the benefits that we are intitled to. Most of us if given the choice would much rather have to never deal with the system again.
