So, Ms. AntiSmoking is getting on my last nerve. She won't let up and I am reaching the limit of my ability to be courteous about it. She has apparently made me her cause. Today before class she announced that I will quit smoking before the end of the semester. I think not.
so our cohort is doing a musc swap. This is my playlist:
The Arrivals Gate-- Ani DiFranco
Galileo(live)-- Indigo Girls
Tomorrow Never Knows-- The Beatles
Transformer-- Gnarls Barkley
Know Your Rights-- The Clash
Ch-Check It Out-- The Beastie Boys
Talk to Strangers-- Saul Williams
Blackbird-- Dionne Farris
...& On-- Erykah Badu
Cancer-- Joe Jackson (this is for Ms. AntiSmoking)
Bold As Love-- The Jimi Hendrix Experience
River Deep, Mountain High-- Ike & Tina Turner
Welcome To The Show-- Infinite Xs
You Are An Airplane-- Of Montreal
And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going-- Jennifer Holliday (Dreamgirls Soundtrack)
All Apologies-- Sinéad O'Connor
When I Was A Young Girl-- Nina Simone
We All...Everyone of Us-- Sweet Honey In the Rock
I've Got Dreams to Remember-- Otis Redding
You Don't Bring Me Flowers-- Neil Diamond With Barbra Streisand
the last one I put as a guilty pleasure. One of the guidelines of the assignment is to put in something that you love, but are a little embarrassed to admit that you listen to, muc less own.
Of course, the order is a little off, but I am a busy parent/grad student, so what do you expect. as I look at the list now, it is clear that "Know Your Rights" or "Welcome to The Show" should have come first. Whatever, the discs are burned and the labels are printed so there's not much to do about it now.
