(no subject)
It was 105 degrees here yesterday. Target was sold out of fans. The ice cream freezer at the grocery buckled under the pressure. Ben & Jerry's was on sale for 1/2 price because they couldn't keep it frozen. I spent a good portion of the day on the couch melting ice cubes on my head.
I still haven't found a home of my own in L.A. Another grad student has offered us her spare room, so we at least have a place to stay while we look. I think I will focus on packing for now and renew my search once I get to to the city.
For right now, however, I think I'm going to make myself some coffee and make some food for my belly before it gets too unbearably hot.
