Well, it's time for one of those rare updates again...

Here we have a link to a petition "to change the electoral process to include a binding 'None of the above, re-open nominations' on every ballot paper, the real kicker is in the detail :)

"It is proposed that every ballot paper include a binding 'None of the Above - Re-open Nominations' candidate. The basis of this would be to identify those voters who feel disenfranchised by the candidates on offer as opposed to those who are genuinely apathetic. Candidates who lose to 'None Of The Above' shall not be eligible for renomination at the re-election."

Though I would tend to prefer that candidates that lost to 'None Of The Above' also couldn't get to be renominated at the next election either (though a perminant ban would be silly as times change), then again this is less likely to fly I guess...

You have until 15th November, 2007 to sign it, though it has already built up quite a following (it's in the top five percent by number of signatures! :) - this is where each and every single one of you really do count though, it only has five hundred signatures!)
