friends, films, and starbucks

Yesterday was a really good day. I spent much of the morning warm in bed, and then went to lunch with Matt at the Patuxent. I was waiting for Jillian to call so I didn't know if I should go to dinner, but she didn't call, so I went to starbucks with Matt, Julie, and Pat, mostly because I have a gift certificate from Matt's stepmom and its for 25 bucks and starbucks is overpriced so it works out.

Then Matt, Gary, Curtis and I (Gary and Curtis and twins, Gary is Matt's best friend) went to this new mexican place which we thought was a restaurant but is in fact exactly the same store as Chipotle. No, really. Same food, same set up, same prices, different name. Weird. It was good though so all's well. Then we wandered around Hollywood Video, settled on 40-Year-Old-Virgin which might be one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, and then Matt and I came back to my room and talked about dating and why men think sex is this strange object to be acquired from women, and why it can't be something intimate. Obviously Matt thinks of sex as something special and something shared, and his friends are really nice and think that too, but most men don't as I had a conversation with a friend of mine the other night and he only referred to sex as the "f" word, which makes it sound raunchy and wrong. Huh.

Anyway it was fun. I love Gary and Curtis, they're terrific, and I like hanging out with Matt's friends, since I don't have many of my own friends right now, besides I'm so busy...

Have a great day everyone. It's not too sunny and so I am crawling back under the warm covers, but I wanted to let people know I DO in fact have a life, and AM in fact doing alright. =)
