So have you ever had a day... and entire freaking day... where you look back and KNOW that every single step of the day you were exactly where God wanted you to be?
I got up WAY to early.
I worked in the cold.
I had a half hour lunch break between getting home from work and getting ready to leave again...
So I could attend a funeral.
After which I went to the wake where I knew only three people.
And then I got to sit just outside of a 1.5 hour conversation watching one of my dear friends get lied to in a way that is sadly so familiar during which I was told by God to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but watch... which I HATE hearing.
All of those things, every one of them, would normally be enough to make me hate my day.
To have them all happen in the same day One after Another after ANOTHER... good lord... Normally you couldn't talk to me for fear of bodily harm, I would just be that stressed out.
Here's the twist though: During every step of my day, every "bad" part, every not quite so bad part, God reminded me that He was with me.
I got to see the sunrise.
Touch the early morning frost.
Have a warm meal in a safe house.
Hear the story of a woman who gave all she was to changed the lives of her family.
Experience this Amazing food in an uplifting atmosphere with people who were celebrating Life in the midst of a loss.
And then, even though I had almost given up hope and moved to prayers of desperation, watch God turn the lies against themselves and replace them with truth and hope and health in my friends life.
God is good that way, it's just the nature of who He is.
He's always trying to remind us that we're not alone when we try to convince ourselves that we are. He's there during the good, He's there during the bad. He's always trying to show us little signs that He's active in our lives as we work so hard to ignore His voice.
Look for those signs, He's planted them all over.
Hope be with you.
