2024 was a strange year for me. It started in January when I got really sick, finally calling an ambulance around the end of the month. I thought I was having a heart attack, but I wasn't. They took me to the hospital in San Andreas, and I had a Cat Scan. I showed I had a collapsed left lung and a "mass." I also had pneumonia. I needed a biopsy, which they couldn't perform in San Andreas, so they sent me by ambulance to another hospital in Citrus Heights.
What a mess. It took days and days of mixups, but finally they perfomed the biopsy and diagnosed me with lung cancer. After many more mixups and delays, I finally had surgery on March 20. The lower lobe of my left lung was removed, along with the tumor. It hurt like hell, but the cancer is gone. No chemo or radiation necessary.
That was the big news of 2024. Other than that, it was an uneventful year. I'm now 76, the twins are 52. Tina had a boyfriend named Chad, who now lives with her. He moved in at Chistmas this year. My grandsons are both still in college. Josh will graduate in May and Alex is a sophomore. Nathan is eight.
And that's about it.
