(no subject)
Well, I'm off today because Melissa went to bed last night complaining of a sore throat. There had been a sign at the daycare that said "your child may have been exposed to Strep" so I thought GREEAAAAAT! I took off today, arranged to have some work sent home to me so I can get it done and snagged the only remaining doctor appointment this afternoon at 4:30. Awesome, I thought.. I'll be here when the mailman comes so maybe, just MAYBE my phone will come in the mail today and I'll be here to get it, YIPEE!! Well, yeah, I was here and yeah the mailman had it. I watched him pass my mailbox, stop at the next neighbor and then go to the next so I decided to go check the mail. Guess what I found... nope, not the phone... the dreaded orange "Sorry We Missed You!" slip! I was RIGHT THERE! I watched him go by, my door is wide open!!! You know why I think he didn't even attempt to deliver it? Penny was out in the front yard. I think he didn't want to deal with my dog. Of course, this is so incredibly laughable because she's a baby who weighs all of 7 pounds!! (Jana, she's a Pomeranian in case I've never mentioned that).... GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
I'll show them, though... I'm going to go down to the post office and get it myself. Only problem is, the office closes at 5pm and Lissa's appointment is at 4:30 in the opposite direction. I will have to go before the doctor, I just hope the fraidy-cat dude is back by then.
