WHO: Miranda Lotto, Demyx
WHAT: Demyx thinks Miranda needs company, so he’s off to bug her.
WHERE: A coffee shop. The one we made up; Cosmic Coffee.
WHEN: Day… whatever day it is right now.
It was nice to get out, finally. Staying around the house where their numbers were slowly dwindling as people left to go to the forest was starting to get incredibly depressing. She was glad that someone invited her out for something - and they were nice about it, too. Convincing her that she really did have some sort of ability to offer to help these people.
She only hoped that Demyx was right.
Miranda wasn’t quite sure where this coffee place was. She’d never seen it before, and she was pretty sure she’d never heard anyone else talk about it, either. The German girl trusted Demyx not to trick her; she’d spent all that time in captivity with him, and she was positive he was not the type to trick her like this. Instead of giving up, she continued to look.
She reached up to gather her hair in a ponytail at the back of her neck, tying it off as she looked around. At this rate, she was positive she was going to get lost. Demyx did say it was called Cosmic Coffee, didn’t he? I swear he did, but I don’t see it! She pulled out her tattered journal, flipping through the pages quickly as she absorbed herself in finding the page she had talked to him on. She found it, and read it over - It was Cosmic Coffee. She had it right. But where was it? Near the docks, he’d said. But that’s where she was… Weird.
She placed the book back in the black messenger-like bag that hung from her shoulder, and looked around a little more frantically. Oh, this was absolutely just her luck. Looking around a little more, and spending a little more time walking, Miranda finally spotted it off in the distance, further down the street. She broke out into a light jog, hurrying - she didn’t want Demyx to think she just hadn’t shown up.
She stumbled a little as she ran, which really was no surprise. Finally, she reached the coffee shop - but tripped flat out on the road with a loud scream that made just about everybody on the street look at her.
It was just her luck to make a fool of herself like this. Pushing herself up to her knees, Miranda sighed and rubbed her forehead.
