(
Because I just can't see why you love to hate me )
It did not seem like there was anything to do, for now, and Kondo-san was most probably occupying the remains of a toilet. Hence, the First Squad Captain had settled for a little rest on the pathetic excuse for a sofa.
Because he had only just shut his eyes not too long ago, because the surface was more uncomfortable than usual, and because he was just on the alert for enemy attacks and had a fast reaction speed, he narrowly dodged the bullet that threatened to kill him dead in one shot. He was just quick like that. It was skill, not luck, Okita would say. Immediately sitting up and grasping for his sword, Okita moved off the sofa swiftly, using what was remaining of it's back as a shield against the enemy.
If it was Takasugi or Kojiro who had come to start some bloodshed- peering cautiously through a tiny hole in the sofa- suddenly it was so convenient indeed- he caught sight of a person in red; someone who most probably was a lady-- the China girl from the Yorozuya.
"Oi China brat, what's the meaning of this? Do you take this as some sort of playing ground or what?"
There was something different about her though- something like- Kondo-san was probably still busy.
Okita began to approach her slowly.

She almost tripped over the debris, making her panic. She shouldn't fight! No, she must! No, she shouldn't! No, she must! Why? Because it's needed? Why? Because it's fun!
Her lips curled into a smile as she aimed her umbrella and decided to shoot a barrage of bullets at him.

Sheathing his sword, Okita grabbed his bazooka, since a it was more suitable for a long to mid range fight and it did not look like Kagura was about to fight up close, perhaps. Running away from the headquarters, and the bullets, in hopes that her shooting would follow and not destroy any more of the building, Okita then aimed a shot at the other.

The only person she wanted to fight against was Okita. She wanted to settle that rivalry that started during the Hana-mi while she still held on to whatever's left of her sanity.
Kagura leaped towards Okita, and when their faces was no more than an inch away from each other, purred. She pushed him away from her as she leaped back, turned and ran towards a place where they can fight in peace.
She stopped just a few meters away from the jungle, where there were hardly any residences that could be destroyed by stray ammunition.

However, he had not taken many steps before Kagura caught him by surprise as she came at him, came at him up close, and made the strange noise cats made, as if taunting him, somehow. Dropping the bazooka in his hands instantly, he reached to draw his sword, but the other pushed at him before moving back, and he lost the chance to attack her.
Keeping his sword once more, Okita picked up the bazooka calmly, pausing for a few seconds before chasing after Kagura to the area near the jungle. He stopped some distance away from her.
No words needed to be exchanged. Aiming his bazooka once more, he proceeded to fire a shot, this time, intending to fire some more in succession.

Umbrella in hand, she decided to run head first towards her opponent, swatting away any bullet that comes her way.

Sensing her fast approach, Okita decided to ditch the bazooka once and for all. It was going to be of no use if she came directly before him. Sword in hand, he concentrated on his target as she drew nearer, took several quick steps forward himself, and proceeded to slash at her right shoulder when they were almost passing each other.
The intention was not to kill, however, not now, not yet, not necessary- but to simply immobilize. The Yorozuya owed them a job after all.

Standing up, she used her umbrella as a machine gun and started shooting at Okita again. While he was skillful enough to dodge everything, she took the opportunity to leap up a tree and charge at him from above. She opened her umbrella, and was spinning towards him like a top.

It would not be neat to kill her off- Kondo-san would not be pleased, since she had ties with Otae-san- but still, he did not feel like holding back much either. Whether it was the blood that was affecting his thought procession, right now, all that was needed was to focus on the fight itself.
Apparently, while he had paused for a bit, Kagura had tidied up her wound, and was now on the move again.
Dodging the multiple attacks from the bullets, he ran towards her, hoping to get close, but she jumped up a tree- something he could not achieve even if he died trying; a disadvantage indeed- and before he could react she was targeting him from above.
Too late with running now, Okita merely raised his sword and positioned himself to defend- or attack. Depending on Kagura's actions, he would do either, or both. If she shot bullets from that distance however- he would just have to attempt to cut her down before that. Making up his mind to go on the offense, Okita waited for Kagura to come a bit closer before he raised his sword to meet with her umbrella, hoping to break it into two.

Not waiting for him to stand up, she loaded her umbrella and was going to shoot him in the head...
NO!
It missed, for some odd reason. The bullet only managed to graze Okita's right calf muscle. It would be painful, but he'll live.
Shocked at what she just did, Kagura retreated back up her tree and stared.

Okita had not anticipated that she had been aiming for his leg till the last few seconds. But then it was too late. Because she was already on the ground below. She was proficiently maneuvering her umbrella, hitting his leg hard enough to cause him to lose his balance. She had proceeded to shoot him without hesitation.
Somehow he got the feeling she had not intended to aim the bullet for his leg. The angle- anyhow, while it would not render him immobile, things were not going in his favor.
He shifted his leg a little to observe the damage done. It hurt, was bleeding, staining his pants a dull red, but it was manageable.
Remaining sitting where he was for a while, he watched Kagura watch him from the tree, before rising from his position quickly, removing the hand he had stuck inside his pocket a few seconds ago. In it, he was holding a little- but good enough- time bomb, which he activated before hurling at the other. In five seconds, five seconds would decide everything, maybe.

Kagura stared intently at the blood on Okita's leg. It looked delicious. Maybe she should come down and lap it. Kagura couldn't resist the urge to lick at her claws.

Perplexed about that previous thought, Kagura decided to hit her head on the tree.
3...
That hurt. And what was that shiny thing over there? Something was compelling her to play with it even though she knew it was dangerous.
2...
MUST. RESIST. TOUCHING. SHINY. BALLS. Kagura jumped off the tree and decided to toy around with the time bomb.
1...
Just realizing what she had been doing, Kagura ran away from the bomb and hid behind a large rock. She ended up mostly uninjured, except for a few bomb shrapnels grazing her here and there. Kagura touched her cheek and saw the blood. She licked it off her hands and stared at her opponent.
Dropping her umbrella, one can see that she was retracting and exposing her claws.

Okita continued to observe Kagura with his deadpanned expression, like how he would observe an animal at the Zoo, for example. The monstrous tigress was not about to move an inch except for licking its claws. Okita wondered if the monstrous tigress had lost its brains along with developing animal features. Monstrous tigress was also gazing at his wound as if it were candy. Monstrous tigress was acting carnivorous indeed.
4
The possibility of monstrous tigress being brainless has increased significantly.
3
Time bomb approaches target fast. No cause for alarm detected in monstrous tigress. Curiosity perked, however. Will curiosity kill the kitty this time?
2
Action finally taken. Okita reached for his sword just in case monstrous tigress leaped onto him once again, and raised himself into a crouching position so he could attack and defend easily- not as easy as before though, since he was injured.
1
The beginning of the end. Only not, because the monstrous tigress snapped out of its dreamy state, apparently so, and ran.
Kagura was mostly alive, and from where he was, Okita could see her flexing her claws, hungrily craving more action. Well, he would feed it to her then.
Moving about was going to be a little more tricky. Slowly steadying himself into a standing position, Okita found that the pain was bearable after a bit.
It would be best to be serious from now onwards. Sword in hand, he took several deliberate slow steps towards her, before quickening his pace all of a sudden, charging forward as quickly as possible, intending to ram the sword into her right arm.
[sorry i had lots of grammatical errors D:]

She was not expecting him to rush towards her, though. She managed to dodge the blade, barely. Taking a split-second to stare at her opponent, she bared her fangs and pounced.

Little girls should behave themselves in public.
[ She pounced, he was a little too late, maybe, but he bent down a little and attempted to swing a cut at her waist area. ]
You need a big, metal, hard, steady leash. By the way, don't cats go 'meow' and lap milk adorably? You're not adorable in the least bit.
Reply
GIN-SAAN! The leash broke! The leash broke!
[She snapped at the air, annoyed at what seemed to be a very important memory triggered by the word leash. She managed to leap away from the slash and aimed to kick Okita at the gut.]
Don't you dare hurt Sadaharu, you sadist!
