Ever since the blood had appeared in the journal, Sena had been feeling sick. So many deaths, so many people killing others in such a cold hearted manner...Sena never had to deal with anything like that before. He was worried about his friends, but on the orders of Zidane-san and Hiruma-san, he obediently stayed inside the inn ( ... )

Ritsuka's body froze as he heard his name being called out. Before he could turn to see who it was, he was being dragged? Back into the inn..? What the hell was this kid trying to do? "Let me go!" Ritsuka yelled as he struggled to release the grip.

"What are you doing?!" He said as he looked up to see who was attacking him. He looked familiar, was it from his journal? "Sena?" he asked as he blinked with a blank look on his face before frowning. "I know what i'm doing.."

"Stopping you from doing something stupid," Sena snapped. Anyone who knew Sena would've been suprised at how forward and blunt he was. Hell, even Sena was suprised. But right then, he was too angry to care if he offended anyone. He took a couple of deep breaths, calming down his racing nerves before he spoke again.

"Ritsuka-kun, listen to me," Sena pleaded. " The jungle is dangerous. Anyone who goes there gets themselves killed in the worst of ways or turns into a blood-hungry monster who only wants to kill everyone who stands against them. Th-they...those people...its like they don't have a shred of humanity left in them after they've given in to the blood's calling."

He looked straight into Ritsuka's eyes, begging for the younger boy to see sense. He didn't want another person to fall like that. Too many have already.

"I know you're stronger than that, Ritsuka-kun. I know you're better than that. I don't know what happened, but please, going to the jungle isn't going to solve anything. I'm your friend and I want you to be safe."

Soubi's ears perked up as he pushed his journal shut, glancing toward the window. That was Sena's voice, he was sure of it. And yelling for Ritsuka...? He stuffed the book into his back pocket and burst out of his room like a bat out of hell. Had Ritsuka been staying in this very Inn the entire time, without Soubi knowing? How was that possible? Wouldn't he have sensed something, or Ritsuka sensed him? What in the world was going on ( ... )

As Ritsuka made his way into the lobby he looked around for his journal, there was no point in leaving it in the lobby. With a deep sigh he started towards it and picked it up. He dusted the corners off before pressing it tightly to his chest, he hated the book so much but he had to remember it was the only way he would find out what was going on. And at the moment it was the only thing that would let him talk to his brother, was that a good thing? He really didn't know anymore. His dark hair covered his eyes for a moment before he looked up towards Sena and Soubi. He didn't say anything, just stood in place and waited.

Soubi motioned over to a table in the corner of the inn's tavern area. Something out of the way would be best. This wasn't a conversation he particularly wanted broadcast to the rest of Rivelata, and even the walls seemed to have ears in his terrible place. He pulled a seat out politely for Ritsuka, awaiting his sacrifice to take a seat before he found one himself right beside the boy.

"Ritsuka, I need you to understand -- before I even start explaining anything -- that you're not going crazy. I know it must feel that way, but this place does things that none of us understand, really. So try and keep your mind open, please."

Soubi paused, placing his hand over the boy's comfortingly. "Can you promise me that?"

Ritsuka paused for a moment before slowly making his way towards the table, taking a seat in the chair that had been pulled out for him. He recoiled his hand alittle as Soubi touched it, it was a weird feeling. With a soft sigh he rested his hand under Soubi's, right now he was more interested in what he was going to say.

His ears flattened slightly to his head as he nodded slowly. "I.. won't promise, but I'll try." He said as he placed his journal on the table in front of him, his eyes trailing back to Soubi's.

Soubi simply gazed at Ritsuka for a moment, glancing over to Sena too after a few moments. He didn't even know where to start. He remembered what Kuja had told him about this place the first day they came... people from their world could be from their past, their present, or their future. Soubi could only assume that Ritsuka was from his own past, before they met on that breezy autumn day. He looked to be the same age, though. He seemed to have the same mentality. He can't have been taken from too far before they met ( ... )

Ritsuka bit his bottom lip a little as his ears picked up Sena's voice. He was right, But Soubi was still a stranger to him and it wasn't in his nature to let people in so easily. Soubi seemed to know Seimei, maybe not the Seimei he knew but.. someone completely different. Of course this was all so much more confusing.. and Ritsuka was getting tired of his head pounding. He didn't say anything to Sena, he seemed almost as confused as he did.

He sighed as he took a step towards Soubi. "D-do you really worry about, me, that much. Soubi?" He asked sheepishly. There wasn't a point to argue anymore, maybe he really did need to give Soubi a chance. For the time being anyways.

Ritsuka shakily placed a small hand over Soubi's, his eyes darting to the side as he spoke. "I-i'll try, to believe.. Ok?" He said as he glanced into the mans eyes for a moment.

Sena smiled in relief and slipped away quietly to get some food. The entire situation had been defused without any injuries or explosive arguments and Ritsuka-kun seemed to have begun to realise how much Soubi cared for him.

The two would probably want some time alone togethor to talk about things that were only meant for each other to hear.

Soubi smiled widely. Simply the fact that Ritsuka was willing to give him this chance meant so much to him. Perhaps things were beginning to look up after all. Perhaps they would be able to start over on the right foot this time, without unnecessary, intrusive fighting like their last first meeting. But all that work, how far they'd come in their bond... it all had to be rebuilt. It was frustrating, but he could do it. He would do anything for Ritsuka.

Rather than be content with that simple touch, Soubi got to his feet again and wrapped his arms around Ritsuka's shoulders, wrapping the boy in a warm, affectionate hug. That smile was still firmly present on his face.

Ritsuka watched as Sena walked off before looking back at Soubi. He really didn't know what to do, it was hard for him to believe everything that Soubi had said. But he said he would try, and thats what mattered. With a small sigh he closed his eyes for a moment, Soubi did seem to really care for him- but why?

His eyes shot open as he felt himself being pulled into a hug. For a moment he let his eyes close, he felt safe. Wait, what was he thinking? His cheeks flushed a crimson red as he pushed his hands against Soubi's chest. "S-Soubii!" He whined as he struggled to get away.

Ritsuka sighed as he slumped back down into his chair, he had suddenly lost his appetite and just wanted to sleep. He looked at Soubi from the corner of his eye before he opened his mouth to speak. "I.. I'm not hungry anymore. I think I need some sleep." He said with a forced yawn, he hadn't checked into the hotel and really didn't want to. But he knew he would have to at least stay in the building, for now, with Soubi there.

As Ritsuka stood he glanced towards the doors once more. "Soubi, Where are you staying?" He asked without looking at the man. He really didn't want to stay with someone he didn't know, but for now it was all he could do. In the morning he would go search for Seimei, with or without Soubi.

Sena reappeared a moment later, holding a tray of hot, mouth watering food and cold drinks. Ritsuka and Soubi looked like they had finished with their private moment, so Sena felt it was okay to come back with food and drinks.

"Sorry I took so long," he apologized, a sheepish smile on his face. He gently placed the tray on the table and sat down himself, slumping in his seat. "There's a lot of people here today. More than usual."

Ritsuka blinked as Sena returned to the table, with food none the less. His stomach ached as the smell hit his nose, his cat ears flattening to his head. "Mnn.." The sound escaped his lips as he sat back down, again.. Damn his hunger getting the best of him.

"More then usual?" He echoed as he smiled. "Does that mean more people have been brought here?" He asked, as his smile faded. More people taken from their homes and thrown here. That was nothing to be happy about.

"Hm...I'm not sure." Sena frowned, as he thought. "Most of them look like they're natives...but I noticed a couple of people here and there that look like they've been taken from other worlds too."

"People are being dragged here all the time though," he sighed.
