WHAT: A rescuer's triumphant return! ...Just as soon as they can find one another.
WHERE: The housing district.
WHEN: Day 29, early afternoon.
Adventuring, Zidane concluded, was only really adventuring when you had friends at your side. Yes, the rescue attempt was more of an emergency than adventure, but it was the singular exciting thing to happen to him since he'd arrived here (Kuja's apparent return from the dead more alarming and confusing than exciting). Even so, the rescue group had only been comrades rather than friends, and the captives had composed of acquaintances and strangers.
All in all, a little lonely when he was used to familiar company at his side. So, after a day of letting what minor wounds he'd acquired heal up, a day spent trying to get the scent of smoke and death out of his clothes from that haunting mass cremation, Zidane had invited himself over to Dagger's place.
...Wherever that was. He'd traversed the housing district for the past quarter of an hour, scanning the gardens, around the surrounding houses, for any sign of her where she said she'd wait. No joy yet.
Pausing when he realised he could go no further down this particular street, he frowned. So, where exactly was she? He couldn't ask for more specific directions in his journal; he'd left the stupid thing behind to bleed all over his table. Or whatever the hell it was doing.
