WHO: Haruhi and Kyon, for now.
WHAT: The first two members of the SOS Brigade meet again
WHERE: At the gate to the jungle at the outskirts of the city
WHEN: Evening of Day 27
She had had her first adventure, and, of course, she was grumpy and curt. The question was whether it was because she couldn't drag him along on it, or whether the adventure had disappointed her. The former, he'd be more than happy to deal with, because the latter could very easily mean total annhilation of everything. And despite the snippets he had picked up here and there from the journals, he found himself not entirely sure it wasn't Haruhi's fault they were here. And, well, if she got dissatisfied with even this fantastical world... how long would it take her to make the jump to just destroying all of everything out of sheer boredom?
And so he half-ran his way to the gate-- the other half of the way he was catching his breath and asking directions-- hoping that Haruhi would actually be waiting there for him, and that her greeting wouldn't be a flykick to the face.
Thankfully, as he reached the gate, he saw that tell-tale yellow ribbon flashing out brilliantly against the darkened background of twilight. She was still here, at least.
