"Here Grell..." His voice trailed quietly through the night ( ... )

"Hmmm~?" Grell hummed thoughtfully, hopping down form the fence and landing before Sylar. Rather fondly he withdrew a kerchief and wiped the blood from his face, always impressed that a mortal could heal to fast.

"That doesn't sound very good." The Reaper pouted, tapping his own lips as he weighed the situation. "It doesn't sound like it's you stopping yourself- and might I add thank goodness to the fact you've given up your little saintly charade."

"Angels kill too." the Reaper reminded him, taking a seat atop the small brick wall that surrounded the cemetery. "But back to the matter at hand- did it feel like someone else was in your mind trying to stop you? Were you fighting another presence in your head?"

Grell had long since accepted that absolutely everything and anything was possible on this island.

Sylar didn't react at all to the cloth that moved across his face, but Grell's thought did make him focus a little harder.

"I didn't even think of that," he said quietly. A person who was messing with his mind, blocking his abilities. It certainly was possible. It might even explain why his attitude had been so off lately.

But who could do that? He couldn't remember anyone with an ability like that, and there's no way any of the newer arrivals could have gotten that much power so quickly. For all he knew it might be a native who didn't even have a journal for him to track down.

"I don't know how I can fight against something like that." Again he looked at Grell, and he was beginning to feel something he hadn't felt in quite a long time. Fear. "What should I do?"

"Well now..." His expression turned serious and he stood up so he could pace along the spine of the wall. "That doesn't sound too good at all." Not one bit...

"What if it's one of the Gods?" Grell pivoted, facing Sylar. "What if they've judged you too dangerous and so they're keeping an eye on you?" The Reaper shook his head, finding the idea utterly repulsive. There was nothing wrong with Sylar! For every living person birthing another, a death needed to be allotted!

"This is horrible!" He groaned. "I don't like this at all! It might mean someone is hunting you!"
