WHO: Customers and Employees of the White Bun Cafe! WHAT: A busy afternoon at the cafe! WHERE: The White Bun Cafe! WHEN: Whenever your character arrives!
Being an average day at the cafe, Rukia had no trouble in going about her routine. Working there for over a year had brought valuable experience, as well as allowed her to develop her very own method for dealing with customers.
"Good morning! Welcome to the White Bun Cafe~!" She almost sang the words in her higher-pitched sugary voice. She stood at the front of the cafe near the entrance, greeting any who entered with an overdose of cheer.
"There are ever so many dishes to try- You simply must try our soup special."
Roy gave her a cockeyed look, but herded his little girl on in without doing more than taking the long way around the wacky waitress. "Why, what's in it?" he quizzed warily, thinking about Shadhavar steak.
There was a table in the window that looked good for people-watching, but he was inclined to sit further back from the public eye when entertaining his less defensible dates. He tugged a chair out for Ofelia with two fingers and a flourish. "My lady."
The cheerful look never left her face. "Only the finest and freshest ingredients. Today's special uses cooked carrots and a secret recipe sauce, it's very delicious~"
She handed them both menus, putting her hands neatly behind her. "May I get you something to drink?"

"Thank you," Ofelia said with a slight smile as she climbed into the chair Roy offered her. Rukia she eyed a little warily, not entierly sure what to make of all that cheerfulness, but perked up at the mention of drinks. "Chocolate milk...?"

Roy grinned back and slid in, leaned an elbow on the table. "Chocolate milk and a cup of joe." he informed the girl in the apron - he'd seen her somewhere before. Where had he...?
It'd come to him.
In the meantime he turned his attention to the menu, in a move to give Ofelia a little time. Best to let her come out with it on her own terms, right? That was his guess.
"Certainly... I will bring them shortly. Oh, and if you have any questions about the menu, please do tell me." She kept her cheerful expression, almost floating away from the table with a dainty step.
Ofelia fiddled with the silverware a bit after Rukia left, not entirely sure just.. where to start. Or why she was even talking about it.
But this was Roy and Roy was good and strong and clever and maybe he would know what to do. So after awhile she raised her head and said "Do you believe in magic?"
"Of course." His smile was directed at the menu, but he raised an eye to watch Ofelia polish the spoon with her fingers. "Lots of people I know do magic," he pointed out, "and you know there's someone I hold pretty close to my heart who has a fairy for a shoulder-pet." He'd be pretty thickheaded not to, all things considered.
It was visible on her face, the gears spinning and the realization finally clicking into place. A slow smile appeared, one of the big bright ones that were sometimes hard to coax out of her.

"Yes, Superkid. Really." He'd give it another minute.

There was a break while they ordered, good solid fare for growing kids. And then he turned back to his lunch partner, nudged her hand on the table.
"So what's on your mind? Magic troubles getting you down?"
