He supposed it was his now, but it didn't feel that way. As ill-trusting of Kasa as he'd been, he still half-expected her to walk through the door and tell him to bring up a barrel.
His reasons for working here were still valid. Just because the female vampire of questionable creed who had owned the place originally was gone, didn't mean Dick was about to clean it up. No. The crowd wouldn't change, the things he learned here from Rivelata's rabble had been valuable in the past, and would continue to be so.
Late into the night, Dick caaught a moment to himself, a moment to lean down on the bar and simply watch the crowd.
