WHO: Lucy, Erza, Ditto WHAT: Erza takes on Ditto for the fair Lucy's hand. Let the battle of the century begin! WHERE: Outside the Fairy Tail Household WHEN: Morning
Erza's Buneary (whom she'd christened Oberon) was curled on her armored shoulder, his expression as intent and serious as that of his owner. They were both on a mission today, it seemed. That mission involved punting a perverted little pink blob very far away from Lucy, a task that Erza presumed would be easy enough. After all, what could it do, really? She was at least three times the size of the Ditto.
She observed the situation with narrowed eyes, fixing her gaze on the Ditto masquerading as some...sort of tentacle monster.
"Unhand her immediately." She would warn it first, and only one time before she took more drastic measures.
Lucy's eyes widened in joy as she saw Erza striding forward, looking like nothing so much as a heroic knight from the pages of a fairy tale, striding from the mists to rescue the beautiful damsel in distress
( ... )
Buneary bristled on Erza's shoulder, snapping out his own warning. "Buneary!" Erza, having issued her warning, drew the Heart Kruez sword strapped at her side. So it seemed as if more drastic actions would need to be taken.
As soon as Buneary hopped off her shoulder, Erza broke into a run toward the enemy Pokemon, brandishing her sword. She swung at the tentacles holding Lucy in place above the ground, hoping that she'd hit her mark and help Lucy escape, at least.
The first wave of vines, Erza was prepared for. The ones that she could dodge, she did easily, and the others shooting toward her in an attempt to immobilize her arms and legs, she struck at with frightening speed and efficiency. The vines snapped against the steel of her blade, arcing away from her.
Ditto's eyes widened at Erza's unexpected resistance, but then narrowed with renewed determination. The redheaded demon would not steal his mistress!
Suddenly the vines pulled back into the main mass of the Tanglea body, and the grass pokemon began to shift and melt into itself, reforming as a massive green preying mantis, it's wings buzzing behind it, and twin blade arms glistening in the sun. With a cry of "Scyther!" the bug charged forward, its scythe arms flashing in a series of lightning quick strikes.
Of course, in changing forms, it had also gotten rid of the tentacle holding Lucy aloft, sending the poor wizard plummeting to the ground with a shriek.
Just as Ditto had begun to shift and change, Erza began to switch to another armor. Ebony armor replaced that of her ordinary breastplate, and batwings split out from the back. The redhead timed her movement carefully, and just as the Ditto-turned-Scyther rushed at her, she ran under the path of its dancing blades. The rush was so close that it knicked a lock of hair from one of her ponytails. From there, she grounded herself and jumped as high as she could manage. The wings unfurled and took her the rest of the way, and she caught Lucy in mid-air.
She landed a bit awkwardly, carefully set Lucy down, and turned to her opponent. If she'd looked stern before, now she looked pissed.
Had it happened to someone else, Lucy would have said the way Erza rescued her was something out of a fairy tale. The grace she'd moved with, the way she'd snatched Lucy away from what was sure to be a nasty fall, the look of determination in her eyes, it was enough to make a girl want to swoon
( ... )
Erza nodded in response to Lucy, and flashed a quick, overconfident grin. This...creature was infuriating, to be certain...but it'd been a good long while since she'd had a proper battle outside of the spars with Lluvia. It was exhilarating, after months of being at the mercy of this stupid island. Part of her almost wanted to drag it out for the fun of it, but it would be best to put a stop to this creature's shenanigans now rather than risk it doing something else to Lucy later on.
There was another flash of light that indicated her exquip, and soon enough the warrior woman was in another armor. This armor was silver, had a set of metallic silver wings and equipped her with a set of long swords. A circle of similar swords surrounded her, clanging in the air. The swords seemed to focus in on Ditto at her movement, and when she rushed forward to attack, so did the weapons in the air.
Ditto had just enough time to widen his eyes before Erza's eyes made mince meat of his illusionary duplicates. Erza's first blow on him shattered his blade arms, and the second one would have cut the insect in half, but he began to change rapidly, his body twisting and elongating until in the place of the insect rose a giant stone serpent.
"Onix!"
Lucy just stared up at Onix for a second in utter frustrated horror. "OH COME ON! There is no way something that small had enough mass to turn into that, it defies all logic!"

"Erza, look out!" Lucy shouted, more out of habit than any actual fear that her friend couldn't handle the situation.

Erza smirked. This was actually a little fun.
