Truth to be told, Lenalee had been contemplating approaching Lavi for awhile now. Sachiko was right-- better to clear this up now than to avoid him forever. She knew she wasn't the only one avoiding though; both of them were avoiding each other. So it came as a huge surprise when Lavi knocked on the door.

"Lavi?" Jumping up from her bed, Lenalee crossed over to the door in a few strides and swung it open. She couldn't help but stare into Lavi's eyes-- but she tore away her gaze. It wouldn't be good to make this more awkward.

"So.. what's up, Lavi?"

"Can I come in?" Asking permission to enter a room-- definitely not something he would normally do. It showed her that he was being serious, however. There was no trace of amusement anywhere on his face. Lenalee would see that and know he wasn't joking around.

"So we can talk."

"Mmhmm." Lenalee moved to one side to allow Lavi to enter the room. It was pretty much clean and well-organized, a rather big difference from Lavi's room. She still remembered that she wanted to help him clean up the books in his room, though.

It was rather obvious from Lavi's tone that he was serious about this. And it wasn't like Lenalee didn't know what they were talking about here; if Lavi hadn't come to look for her today, she would have gone to look for him.

"Well.. okay."

He walked in, spared her bed a glance, then opted to walk over to one of the walls and lean against it. Sitting on her bed would only make things awkward, and there had been enough of that already. Really, he didn't know why he had chosen to make himself comfortable at all; it wasn't like their discussion was going to be a long one.

"About the kiss. I came by to ask you.. to tell you.. to forget it ever happened."

The girl followed after him, sitting on the bed instead. She looked at him and smiled. It had been a rather long time since they'd talked-- or at least, were about to talk-- like this, hadn't they?

That smile disappeared almost immediately after what Lavi had said, though.

"Oh."

Of course, they should forget about it, right? It had to be buried in the past, or they would be in an awkward situation forever. It was just the cursed mistletoe, after all. That kiss meant nothing, nothing at all. So why was it that Lenalee was at a loss for words?

"I-- um.." she took a deep breath. "You're right, Lavi."
