[She's unprepared to hear the knock on the door, and smooths out the few wrinkles on her skirt before going to answer it.]

Roy! [Her smile is bright.] I wasn't expecting you.

Special delivery. [He holds up the lumpy gifts, and grins back.] Merry Christmas.

[There's snow melting in his collar and dusting his hair.]

[She looks a little surprised, before her expression softens. This "Christmas" thing is still pretty new to her.]

Merry Christmas. Ah, [she gestures] Come in, come in. You must be cold.

Don't mind if I do!

[Though he does stop, abruptly, right in the doorway.] Ah, Tifa?

[He raises a hand, and knocks on a wall that's not there. Behind him, the cold wind gusts into the house.] You install a new forcefield while I wasn't looking?

[She halts as well, all of a sudden, and turns back toward him.] No, I... [She stares up...and is unsurprised to see the mistletoe above them. She smiles, shrugs helplessly.]

I think we're stuck. [And she points up to the mistletoe.]

Whoops. [He's heartbroken. Really.

Okay, no, he's not. Just turning real quick to shut that door, and back with an affable smile.]

Well, if you don't mind? [Steps up to the plate!]

[She laughs. This is at the least, less uncomfortable than it had been with Basch.

She wondered what that meant, exactly.]

Go ahead. I don't mind.

[Then without further ado, he tips his head, slips an arm 'round Tifa's waist, and plants one on her.

It's very affectionate, honestly so. Tifa's an amazing lady, and he's fond of her, and this is an easy excuse to show it. Not to mention she's hot and kissing is fun, let's be honest here.

If allowed, he'll dip her a little, just for the hell of it.

He breaks the kiss with a grin, and lingers there a moment.]

[Oh. She hadn't expected to get dipped back.

Or kissed like this, either. It's a good kiss though, and she genuinely enjoys it.

When Roy pulls away, she's smiling too. It takes her a moment to say anything.] That was enthusiastic.

Can you blame me?

[There's a sound like a windchime, and the melting snow sparkling in his collar is sprinkled with red and silver. He laughs, and brushes some of the glitter from her hair.]

[Tifa rolls her eyes, and slaps Roy's arm, playfully.] I bet you say that to everyone.

[She brushes away the glitter on his shoulders, and blinks when some of it lands on her eyelashes.] I think we can head inside now.

Nope.

[Sure, he'll take that as an invite. He slips away, and only trails his fingertips on her waist a little before bending to pick up the Christmas presents.] Now, is there a tree I can put these under, or...?

[She's already heading in when Roy mentions the tree, and turns to face him, bemused.] Tree? I...think I remember Cloud mentioning something like that. [In between the strange talk about "Santa Claus."]

Is it some sort of tradition?

Aw, no! [He sets the presents next to the nearest houseplant instead, half-laughing.] Yeah, it really is. I'll have to get you one.

[She tilts her head.] We had a winter solstice in Nibelheim, but there were never any holidays in Midgar.

[A pause, then she amends this, rolling her eyes.] Unless you counted Shinra holidays. [She doesn't. The memory makes her frown, but the mood is gone quickly, and she perks up again.] It'd be nice to have a tree, for the girls. I don't know much about this holiday myself.

Consider it done. We'll string popcorn on it, hang candy canes. Good food, sweets, family. That's what it's really about.
