WHO: Lulu [belteddress] and Tidus [fayth-dreams]
WHAT: After the disappearance of Yuna, Lulu makes an attempt at comforting Tidus. Soup is involved. Possibly cookies. And tea. Hopefully not mistletoe. >___>
WHERE: Lulu's home.
WHEN: Sometime this week.

Lulu stirred soup in a pot, turned on a kettle, and watched the snow fall outside her window. The memories of the pilgrimages she'd embarked on were poignant today, a sharp ache that manifested itself above her left temple. Wakka called them tension headaches. Chappu had too. When he was alive, he'd make her tea from a flower grown only in Besaid, to soothe her nerves. When he died, Wakka took up the task.

And now, neither one was here, Besaid was worlds away, and she was left with little else but the memories of her failures. Yuna was gone now too, and everything in the house was too quiet, and too sad. The air was heavy with nostalgia.

She didn't cook very often, but she was surprisingly good at it, and food was a common way to comfort people. Tidus was...not taking this well. Neither was she, but...he was young, and naive. He hadn't yet experienced the depth of loss Lulu had...and if she was honest with herself, she thought that she didn't want him to. Some people were not strong enough to carry such burdens.

It was a while before the soup was finished (it was a hearty sort of stew, the type of food boys Tidus' age liked) and she placed bowls on the table, utensils. Then she sighed and went to Tidus' room, knocking on the door.

"You have to be hungry. Come out." She frowned, and added, "I made soup. And cookies." She hadn't actually made the cookies (they'd been purchased from a bakery), but he didn't need to know that.

Ω tidus, Ω lulu
