Cloud had spent most of the day in the back, struggling his way through creating little gift packages of tea mixes and cookies and trying to organize the boxes of stock they had laying around, and he had not noticed any mistletoe hanging in the doorways.
Not that there was any to see -- oh no, the mistletoe in Rivelata just happened to be magical. Of course.
And it happened to appear in a doorway in the back, barely out of sight from the public sitting area of the store, but still definitely a spot where employees often walked by. And it just happened to appear when Cloud was walking through it one way and Rufus was walking through it the other. But, the little bush wasn't what Cloud noticed first, it was his sudden inability to continue on walking by. "What the hell is this --"
No, seriously, what the hell was happening? His eyes darted over to Rufus only to find that the other was apparently having the same problem. Then he looked up, noting the mistletoe above the door. Seriously? Stupid apparently magical plants? What --
