WHO: Lelouch Lamperouge and OPEN
WHAT: Chess
WHERE:
The giant chessboard in the jungle.WHEN: November 28th, midday.
Lelouch watched the pieces on the chessboard move impassively, waiting for the black pieces to fall into a seemingly impossible position. While most would rather start with a clean slate, or start with an advantage, it kept his skills keen to start at a significant disadvantage, to have to fight for his victories. Of course, never once had the unseen white player beaten him, no matter how bad the initial position of the black side was when Lelouch assumed command, but, then, that suited Lelouch quite well; being defeated by Schneizel in chess was infuriating enough.
From time to time, others might come here and play against him, or watch him play, or he might even watch them play, picking apart their playing style in his mind. Today might be one of those days, or perhaps today would be another spent in solitary contemplation. Either way, he was glad to be here again-- it had been far too long that the rain had fallen, depriving him of the ability to visit this place in relative comfort. True, it was chilly out, but that was nothing some bundling and a thermos of tea didn't solve.
