WHO: Nill
wingsnotwords and Utena
ofnobilityWHAT: Playing in the rain, like derps
WHEN: Backdated to...uh, before all the disappearances?
WHERE: Outside, duh. But it starts in the Angel's Teacloud c:
Utena wondered if this River...Rivelata place had umbrellas that worked.
She wondered because her own flimsy, stupid old-fashioned umbrella-thing was not taking this rain very well, and the wind was being unkind too...blowing everywhere. It was making her hair tangle, and it was so cold outside now that she'd taken to wearing pants instead of shorts when she had to leave the house.
It was really frustrating. But Nill wanted to go outside, and Utena would feel terrible for standing her up, as it were. Plus, princes were supposed to do things like this...chivalry to girls, if not one of the first rules of being a prince, had to be...at least one of the top five rules. Or ten. And she liked Nill, even if she didn't like the stupid rain, which came in sheets, was unrelenting, and reminded her of days when she'd been all alone.
Even after her umbrella had finally lost the fight against the rain, and resembled nothing but a tangle of wood and cloth, she still valiantly made her way to the cafe. Eventually, she made it inside, looking...well, pretty worse for wear. Her hair was sticking out at all sorts of strange angles, and her cheeks were flushed. She started to wring out the water on her jacket, speaking as she did so.
"Hey, Nill-chan! Are you around? I made it! Oi...it's like a monsoon out there!" It wasn't really a monsoon, but Utena had never actually experienced a monsoon, and thought the word fit the occasion.
