WHO: Kiba, Remus (Open?)
WHAT: Kiba wants a job! Also, what are sugar mice?
WHERE: Sweet Shop
WHEN: UHM. Maybe a day after Kiba's post.
Uhm started it off prose, but feel free to reply with quick!logging or regular tags. I don't mind.
(
Simply look around and view it )
Remus smiled and waved, leaving the cash drawer he'd been counting open as he rounded the counter. His left arm was still wrapped with rather thick bandages, but he extended his good hand to Kiba when he came closer.
"There you are, Kiba. Alright, then?"

Shaking the guy's good hand and then releasing it, Kiba looked around the shop curiously. "Wow. This is real different from anything I saw back in Konoha. This stuff from your world?" And he was already looking at items on the shelves, overwhelmed by his own curiosity.

Kiba would probably notice straight off the bat that many of the sweets weren't precisely staying in one place. The boxes of chocolate frogs jumped every now and again as their inhabitants tried to leap free, and there was a shelf spanning an entire wall filled with cages of fully-sentient mice made entirely of sugar.
"We have a lot here... I don't expect you to know everything right off the bat, but I'll write up a list for you to familiarize yourself with..."

Akamaru, on the other hand, stayed in place, tilting his head to the side, tongue hanging out in the least ninja-like manner possible and tail thudding against the floor.
Then, Kiba found the mice. "Hey! Hey, you weren't kidding about sugar mice! This is way cooler than dango!"
It was like... uh. Like watching a kid in a candy shop.

"Ah, yes. About those," Remus said, getting to his feet again to stride over to Kiba. "Notice the locks on the tops of those tanks? They're very slippery things, and they have a tendency to get out everywhere. So be very careful if you have to get any of them out for a customer."

Now he was focusing more on the sweets, his sense of smell and hearing which had gradually gotten sharper over the last month, the store sounded practically alive. Akamaru barked, once, and Kiba nodded at him. "Yeah, I know. Beats all the shops in Konoha."
He turned to Remus with a grin. "How long did it take you to come up with this stuff?"

He ran a hand through his hair as he wandered back behind the counter to grab some parchment and a quill. Remus always enjoyed watching people when they'd first come into the store. It was a sort of wide-eyed wonder he remembered so well from his first couple years of school, before the magic all became so ordinary.
"Oh, Lily thought most of it up. A lot is just copying the things we had back home, but Lil thought up a load on her own. Such a smart girl."

Or he could put it in his ramen, eheh.
Kiba had been about to open his mouth to ask about Lily and the things back home, when another person wandered up. "Evans." The smell was familiar, and the face too. "Oh, Potions Lady. From the other night!" He scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, I remember you! Figured you had to be smart with all that medical stuff!" His other hand made it to the back of his head, fingers hooking together. "Don't worry about me, I'm good with animals. And fast! And I probably have a worse bite."
He grinned again, showing off his sharp canines.

"Oh, Lily," Remus motioned toward Kiba, tapping the quill against his cheek for a moment. "Since Sirius is off taking a rather frightening emotional journey with his cafe, we could use a bit of extra help. I'd like to give Kiba a go, if that's alright with you."

Focus.
Focus.
"Yes, yes, he'd be a wonderful addition. And ... his dog. You know, Remus, we could do something with that. With this bright young lad and Kiba."

Anyway. That wasn't the point. He shook his head to try and keep on task. When he zoned back in, he caught the name mix up, and barked a laugh. "I'm Kiba! He's Akamaru," he explained, as said giant dog stood and poked at Lily's hand with his nose "Once we get our clone jutsu back Akamaru can help too, if it's busy and stuff."

"I think she's quite aware of that, Kiba," Remus said, still laughing. "Lily's rather fond of dogs. Seems to harbor them everywhere."
Remus cast Lily a sly, knowing look.

She watched Remus a little stupidly for a moment before everything suddenly sank in, and she made a high-pitched, chirp-like sound and clapped her hands together. "Right! Dogs, love them. Can't seem to get away from them, apparently." She paused. "So, Remus, speaking of the lovely mutts I've managed to collect, I've been thinking-- And Kiba, don't be shy-- I've been working on quite a few potions. I'd love to make an addition to the store specifically for them, but that's ... somewhat unrelated. I do have an idea for another addition. Dog food? Dog treats? Cat treats? Snake treats? Magical, of course, but nothing dangerous. Playful, delicious, nutritious, all of that hubbub."

"Oh." Huh. Well that made sense. "Yeah, dogs are pretty great." Biased? Yeah, whatever.
Akamaru woofed quietly at the mention of treats. "Treats, eh? Think Akamaru could help with that!" Maybe it'd even be another time for clone jutsu. Man, he really needed to get that back. "Sounds like a good idea to me, anyway. Just gonna be making candy for the animals that ain't human, right?" For a moment he thought of Shino's bugs and the Hokage's pig, and scratched his chin. "That gonna count bugs and pigs and stuff too?"
Kiba's contemplation wasn't sharp, but hopefully Akamaru poking at Lily's hand with his nose would take away from the ninja's ramble.

Dating a man had opened his mind quite a bit.
"Lily, my darling, it sounds like a smashing idea. Godspeed."
