The heavy rain and fog set a perfect scene for what was about to take place. The eerie glow of the jack-o-lanterns didn't hurt either. He had been walking outside for hours and was soaking wet, yet didn't feel cold at all. Was it excitement? Or maybe it was one of his abilities keeping his body temperature normal. Probably didn't matter. After his success against Fay, he was eager to go for another ability. It had been so long since he had taken a power, and it had felt amazing doing so. Yet the hunger was still there, and it wanted more.
And then he saw him. Well, sort of, The weather did make it hard for him to actually "see" anything clearly, but he knew who it was as soon as he caught a glimpse. Edward Elric. Sylar had wanted his ability for so long. For the most part he had only heard about Ed's power through the journals, but that had more than enough. And tonight he had the oppurtunity to experience it first hand.
"Don't you know it's not safe to walk these streets so late at night?" He had no idea whether this would end up like his fight with Rukia or Fay, but he didn't really mind which. In one he got a new ability, in the other he learned more about his opponent for next time. The suspense for how this would all play out was killing him.
