Who: Rise and Stevie. What: A crash course in Jason Todd. Quicklog. Where: North of the clinic, on the way to the graveyard. When: Shortly after this post.
Sorry! Had to leave for a while. DxsquealSeptember 28 2009, 23:53:20 UTC
[After saying a quick goodbye to Rei, Rise had left the house on her makeshift bicycle and headed towards the clinic. Once she got there, the girl noticed the new reply from the boy, saying to go over to the graveyard. She obediently mounted her bike and took course towards the destination, hoping to spot the dark-haired teen.]
Np, I needed to sleep x.xbratwonderSeptember 29 2009, 01:20:36 UTC
[The boy clinging to the walls wasn't hard to spot- too busy trying to figure out what he could say about Jason's "true self" (magic, ugh) to be stealthy. He twisted around at the sound of the bike and nearly fell, crashing into the supporting wall instead. He slumped there for only a brief second.]
Aaaand I had to leave again. ksajdfhfruiefd. Now it's my turn to sleep. >:squealSeptember 29 2009, 04:16:38 UTC
[At the sound of her name, Rise pulled the bike to a screeching halt and turned to look at the one who called out to her. Dark-haired teen, bingo! Though, he wasn't looking too swell...]
He died when he was sixteen. I mean. Seriously. Died. He was murdered and it was-- really bad.
And then he came back and... I don't- I donno so much about that. But the worst was- had to be- nobody was- nobody came for him, okay, he did it all on his own.
He dug out on his own.
Like he had no family. Again.
[He shut his eyes, feeling sick.] And his dad adopted another kid and he never went back.
School + Work = Not helping. ._.squealOctober 2 2009, 01:34:35 UTC
[Rise listened closely, absorbing as much info as she could, faintly recoiling from the seriousness.]
...So he seems really independent and troubled. Does he usually push other people away?
The death thing-- that's huge. I'm sure that'll help me find him, though.
[Gaze faltering, the pigtailed girl scratched the back of her head absently.]
Listen... I'm sorry. About your brother and that you have to tell all of this to a perfect stranger. I promise to do my best to help, though-- you have my word.

That's me! Are you, um... alright?
[She hopped off the bike and came towards him.]

[Real name? Could probably be forgiven. Occupation? Not so much. Who he IS?
This will be tricky and there's barely any time. Coming forward to lean on her bike, and moving on down the road.] We can talk on the way.

[Rise winced as she realized just how urgent the situation was and kept a brisk pace alongside the boy.]
I just need to know things about his... life. Pressures and troubles... stuff that made him doubt himself.
[She paused, then shrugged.]
I don't blame you if you don't know those sorts of things. You could always go with things like... hobbies.

Okay. [Gulp.]

[He straightened, determined look only getting stronger.] Can you promise you won't tell anybody else? He hates people knowing this stuff.
[And for the first time it occurred to him that Jason probably hates how much HE knows. Great. Think about that later. Dig his stupid butt out now.]

[She gave him an incredulous look.]
Oh, yeah-- totally! I'm great with secrets! Cross my heart and hope to die. But not... the dying part.
Um, anyway. It's Stevie, right?

[One eyebrow twitched, but really there was no choice except to trust her now. They came up on the graveyard, and he upped speed as best he could.]
If you can just find what grave he's in. We're- we gotta meet him there.
