WHAT: Ratatosk Mode desu!
WHERE: Somewhere along the beach I guess?
WHEN: Before Emil's recent journal entry!
The blonde boy stood alone at the beach, watching the waves and enjoying the sea breeze. Things had been going pretty well lately, despite the earthquakes. The most recent earthquake had shaken Emil a little-- he wasn't used to such earthquakes.
The boy sighed. He missed Marta. Presea and some of the others were here, but for one reason or another, they didn't recognise him. He had concluded that they were pulled from a different timeline, which was the only reasonable explanation.
Emil remembered how Ratatosk spoke to him about this place when he arrived-- after that, he had been quiet. Only at times did he speak, and even after that.. silence. Not that he missed Ratatosk, but Emil felt pretty lost without someone familiar around, back from his home world. Besides--
"Woah!" a sudden tremor shook Emil. He fell backwards, hitting his head on the ground. "Ow.."
What's the matter? Not like you've never experienced an earthquake before.
"I-- Ratatosk!" Emil's shock caused him to say the words out loud. This won't do, thought Emil. He closed his eyes and concentrated, and when he opened them again, he found himself in a different place-- there were colors swirling all around, and Ratatosk was right in front of him.
"R-Ratatosk!"
"Hm. You've done a pretty good job, Emil."
"Huh?"
"Nevermind. Though I do have something I want to do."
"But that's--" Emil began. He took a deep breath. "All right. After all, you are me. I'll trust you, Ratatosk."
The green-eyed boy closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, he was back at the beach. Red eyes looked across the ocean. Emil-- or Ratatosk, for that matter-- turned around, and left.
