It was starting to get rather late as Mitsukuni headed towards what he hoped was the Market Haruhi had spoke of. As he neared his destination, plush rabbit tightly in his grip, he couldn't help but feel scared. Everything was so new to him, and without Takashi well, he was lost. Quickly he glanced around trying desperately to find a face he knew, only to be glanced back upon by complete strangers.

Tears started to roll down his cheeks as the worst case scenarios played over and over in his head. What would happen if he didn't find Haruhi? Would he be left here alone? Mitsukuni wiped at the tears with his shirt, only to have new ones fill their place. Why had they all been brought here anyways? Was it some silly game or dream he would soon wake up from?

Soon he found himself aimlessly walking in a slow motion towards, well nowhere. He hoped Haruhi would find him soon, how hard would it be to spot a young looking boy with a pink rabbit?

It was the stuffed pink rabbit that Haruhi noticed first, thinking it was quite of of touch with the surroundings. She made the connection a split second later and breathed a sigh of relief that Honey had not been too difficult to find. True, he did stand out a little in modern day clothing - she supposed she had done too, for the first couple of days staying here. Her school uniform had hardly been practical for these conditions.

"Sempai," she called, running towards him before she lost sight of him. As it happened, she had never been much of a runner and was out of breath before she got to his side.

She looked up, smiling despite the stitch she had acquired.

It alarmed her slightly to see Honey's tear stained face, and immediately tried to think about what Mori would do to console him.

Honey blinked as he heard Haruhi's voice. A wide smile crossing his face as he finally caught sight of her. His heart raced as Haruhi got closer and closer. Finally someone he knew and loved, it hadn't been to long since he had been taken to this place. But for him it felt like a lifetime.

"Haru-chan!" He cried as his arms stretched up to wrap around her middle, that being the only place a boy of his size could reach. He was so happy but couldn't hold it back, tears streamed down his cheeks as he pressed up against her stomach. He had been so scared and never thought that seeing Haruhi would make him feel so safe.

Honey looked up at Haruhi as a smile pulled at the corners of his lips. "Thank you." he said as his cheeks flushed a light pink.

Haruhi was somewhere between relief that Honey had stopped crying and confusion at the abrupt mood change. She sighed and put her arms around him, feeling rather like mother hen. It was something she should have expected.

"It's all right," she said soothingly. It was, for now. She couldn't guarantee that everything would be all right in the long run, considering what had already come to pass and she wasn't one to blag uncertainties.

Then she let go of him and smiled. "I'm staying up there," and she gestured to the west path where they stood, "it's a short walk. If we can get back soon, I'll try to make something sweet for you."

Mitsukuni nodded as he once again wiped the tears from his eyes. He pulled Usa up to his chest with one arm the other pushing up into the air.
"I'm glad you found me Haru-chan!" He said happily as he eyes lit up at the mention of sweets. He clapped his hands happily letting a happy squeal escape his lips. He was so happy that he would finally get something sweet but he hoped it wasn't karp. Haruhi had already tried to feed it to him once.

Happily he clung into Haruhi's arm as he nuzzled his cheek into it. "So i can stay with you, yes?" He asked as he looked up at her with a small pout.

"That's what I said, isn't it?"

She turned around, making sure that Honey stayed with her. She didn't really think he'd run off, but she still didn't know where that sweet shop was and was quite certain if they were to come across it now he would find a way in through locked doors, somehow. She began walking.

"I'm glad you're ok," replied Haruhi. She hesitated. "How is Usa-chan?"

A year ago she could not have imagined asking about the welfare of a toy bunny, but she supposed each of the hosts had had more of an impact on her than previously thought.

Honey nodded. "Yes you did." He answered quickly as he followed Haruhi closely, as to not stray from her side. The last thing he wanted was to become lost.. again. This place was way to big for a small framed boy like himself to be wondering around alone ( ... )

Haruhi kept walking, taking a while to figure out how to phrase her reply. She wondered how much Honey had learnt from the journals already. She took a breath.

"I've been here nearly three weeks now, and the others longer," she replied slowly, "I don't know where Tamaki's staying, but he's fine. Kaoru's running and staying at the clothing store, Eagles Splendour - you might have passed it on the way here. He's well, physically at least."

That much she was certain of. "I can't say the same for Hikaru. We don't know where he is, not really."

She'd hoped they would get back to home before breaching this topic. "Soon after I arrived, there was a ball held by the Queen to welcome us here. It was a bit fancy and it felt to me like she was hiding something with it. I didn't like the atmosphere much so I left.
I went to bed that night and woke up to chaos. Apparently there was a riot at the ball after I'd left and in response, several people had been taken prisoner by the guards. Hikaru was one of them."

Honey was rather pleased that Haruhi had at least seen the others, and that Kaoru and Tamaki were alright. His eyes shifted down as Hikaru's situation was explained to him, how could someone be so cruel as to take innocent people hostage? Not to mention how Kaoru felt about the whole thing. Honey knew all to well that the twins would be in so much pain being apart like this, it made him feel as if he had been hit by a mack truck.

Honey knew now why Kaoru had seemed so down when he seen his entry in the journal. "Is anyone... looking for them?" He asked slowly, hoping the answer would be 'yes of course!' He couldn't believe that something like this would happen in such a short time of everyone arriving.

Haruhi nodded, "yes. There are two rescue teams trying to get to them, but I don't know how much use they'll be."

She bit her lip. "The guards - they killed a prisoner a couple of days ago now. It was horrible hearing about. How could anything warrant such a penalty?"

She stayed calm, because that was what she was good at. Fujioka Haruhi kept calm when the world around her went mad. But it had never been like this.

"I feel so useless just hanging around here doing nothing," she said suddenly, surprising even herself, "all I'm good for is passing exams-"

She stopped herself, "I'm sorry, Honey-sempai. I shouldn't be thinking about myself when it's others who are in danger."

Honey sighed softly as he listened to Haruhi, he was starting to hate this place more and more. How could they kill someone? Was it to set everyone else in place? Or maybe just to put fear into the people living here. The feeling of intrapment slowly started to fill his whole body, like a small lab rat stuck in a cage. How could someone toy with people's lives like this?

Honey didn't know what to say, normaly he would have something to say that would lighten the mood. But right now, all he could do was wait. Wait untill something happened to his advantage. Honey was small, but not a push over. Everyone knew Honey was an excelent fighter, but in a place like this.. He didn't think any of his training would help.

Haruhi watched her sempai's childish face lose its expression and gave a sad, knowing smile. She didn't think she'd ever see the boy lose his sparkle, but how could either of them have predicted this?

"It's this way," she prodded, her voice gentle. She walked on in silence, observing the scenery around her because recently thinking too much had been hurting her head. It was beautiful at this time of night, the moonlight highlighting the island around her. Ironic really, she thought, that such a place could hold some terrible inhabitants.

"Are you tired, Honey-sempai?" she asked, hoping that he was, because for her the day had seemed to last a week. Were the days longer here? It wasn't something she spared thought for.

Hunny sighed softly as he followed Haruhi. "Yes.." He said in reply, he was very tired. He hadn't even had a nap in the few days he had been here. "Where will i sleep?" He asked as he took Haruhi by the hand, it made him feel better.

As his eyes took in the sights around him he couldn't help think this place was so pretty, but how could something so pretty have such sharp thorns. This place reminded him of a rose, sweet and pretty but with a deadly surprise waiting. He huffed slightly, things were not going well and he just happened to be plopped down in the middle of it, Why couldn't he have still been at home?

"I-" she hadn't really thought about it. "You can sleep in the bed, sempai," she said thoughtfully, "I'll sleep on the floor. I don't really mind."

She squeezed his hand, hoping to be reassuring in the gesture.

Finally, she could spot the run down little house in the distance and wondered vaguely what Honey would make of it. He was a lot more used to space and comfort than she was, and this place was hardly the former (the latter being debatable).

She had a sudden last thought, remembering her own first few days after arriving there.

"Say, Honey-sempai," she said quietly, "what was the last thing you remember before waking up here?"

Hunny pouted, he didn't want to kick Haruhi out of her bed. Seeing as it was his idea to stay with her. "Nyaa.. No i can sleep on the floor Haru-chan." He said happily as he looked towards the run down little house they were closing in on. It was... small. But cozy none the less. It reminded him of when all the host members went to visit Haruhi and were thinking the worst about her living arrangements.

Hunny giggled a little as he pulled Usa to his chest, he was excited to finally be with someone and not alone. His light brown eyes looked up to Haruhi's as he smiled widely. "It's, cute." He said as his cheeks flushed slightly.

"Before i woke up?" He asked as he placed a finger on his lower lip. "I... I really don't remember anything..." He said as he lowered his head. "I only remember laying down for my nap, then being here..." Hunny blinked and looked up at Haruhi, It wasn't that he didn't remember but more like he had made himself forget.
"I'm sorry.." He added before looking back at the house with a small sigh.

"Are you sure, sempai? I'm perfectly fine with sleeping on the floor. We're japanese, aren't we?" she smiled. She wasn't sure that her sempai was used to anything less than a western style bed. If his reaction to her small bathroom the time he had visited her home with the other hosts was anything to go by, Honey would find it difficult living in such conditions ( ... )
