WHO: Alucard/
bloody_count, Impulse/speedintraining
WHAT: Blood donations are all the rage!
WHERE: The docks.
WHEN: Just after Alucard's arrival.

Impulse: -Seeing as there wasn't really an ounce of common sense in the kid, he showed up nearly instantly after making his last reply to Alucard, only slightly unsure about the whole venture. It took him a fraction of a second to find him on the docks, and he skidded to a stop right next to the only guy creepy-looking enough to be the vampire.- Uh, hi.

Alucard: -Alucard hears him coming from five blocks away and is waiting on the docks, seated rather comfortably on his coffin, long black hair pooled behind him, elbow propped on his knee.- Good evening.

Impulse: -Impulse's eyes grew wide to see the coffin -- interest and curiosity rather than fear. In a second he was at the coffin, examining it from all angles almost simultaneously.- So you're a vampire, right? And this is your coffin? That's cool! Can you turn into a bat? Or a wolf? Wait, that's werewolves, isn't it? Do you know any werewolves?

Alucard: -The vampire watched the boy with burning curiosity. Stifling a snicker, Alucard just let him explore; this was a willing victim, after all, no need to snatch and feed.- I am. It is. Yes. Yes. And no.

Impulse: Can I see you turn into a wolf? -He seemed to have forgotten entirely his original intent of coming here because holy crap this guy can turn into a wolf.- Or a bat, that isn't bad either! But wolves are so cool! Does it have to be a full moon? Do you HAVE to howl at it? I wouldn't think so, but all those movies can't be wrong...

Alucard: -Alucard snapped his fingers in front of the boy's eyes, directing attention back to the present.- Later. Do you know why you are here? Give me your name, boy.

Impulse: -He blinked at the snap, and it seemed to have worked. At least for the time being.- Right! -Another huge smile.- I'm Ba--Impulse! And I'm here because you're hungry, right?

Alucard: Impulse. A curious name. But you are indeed correct. I am starving. -Alucard grinned, lips peeling back over a mouthful of sharp gleaming teeth. - Still willing, little one?

Impulse: Wow. -The comment was most likely directed at Alucard's teeth, since that was straight where Impulse's eyes had gone.- Um. Y-yeah. Still willing. Everyone's gotta eat, right?

Alucard: They do, yes. -Enough of this insane banter. He was hungry and a willing steer was right under his nose. Crimson eyes flamed. - Have you a blade or small implement of such?

Impulse: A blade? Um... -He tried to think about it, really he did, but those eyes were so distracting.- No, hang on -- -And then, just as suddenly as he'd come he was gone, only to reappear again in about three seconds with what was obviously usually used as a kitchen knife.- Does this work?

Alucard: -Both of Alucard's brows went up at this impressive ability. Instantaneous celerity? Hn..... But he took the offered tool almost eagerly, examining the blade with a speculative eye. - Hnnnn, it will do well. - He lifted his other hand invitingly and rose to his impressive height, silhouetted against the watery moon. -Come here, Impulse. Stand before me.

Impulse: -He stared up with a hint of nervousness, wondering if this was the right choice. He was supposed to help people, right? Help them get food if they couldn't get it anywhere else, maybe? Either way, he took a step closer -- at normal speed, for once.- This is pretty before you, right? Is that okay?

Alucard: -Alucard grinned that eerie grin again and nodded.- It's perfect. Stand still. - With quick expert precision, the vampire sliced a small mark in the boy's neck, at the curve of throat and shoulder. Blood welled and the vampire hissed softly, lowering his dark head to lap at the welling drops. Careful not to bite, as this was a willing victim, Alucard gently licked away the red stains, relishing the taste on his tongue.-

Impulse: -Not quite as bad as he'd been expecting it. He tilted his head to the side, one eye winced shut. It hurt, but it wasn't too bad. And he could feel his metabolism already working to heal it.- Uh... is it, er, good?

Alucard: -Ahhhh, the sweet tang of virgin blood. It nearly made the old vampire swoon. Alucard lifted his head, tongue cleaning away the red stains from his teeth and then grinned down at his victim.- More than "good", little Impulse. - He grinned wider, hissing a sigh softly.- Divine, I'd say.

Impulse: Divine? Really? -The smile was starting to come back again. What if blood tasted better than he'd always thought? What if it was some sort of new snack food in a place like this? An experimental finger went to his neck for a taste himself, and he immediately made a face.- Oh, uh. Well, I guess.

Alucard: -Tempted, sorely tempted to take more, the vampire forced himself to be sated with just that small taste; he'd no doubt be able to use this source again. As long as it lived, rather. - Yes, I am grateful, Impulse. You have done well indeed. -Alucard lifted his head and gazed off towards the town. Other concerns were pressing, such as shelter from the coming daylight, some hours off.- Are we given housing here? Or are we to simply take what we can find?

Impulse: I'm not sure. Nightwing said I could stay with him, because I guess I sorta know him, but I don't think you do so he probably wouldn't -- There sure are a lot of houses, though! And, hang on -- -Another disappearing act, and this one lasted at least ten seconds. A wide smile in place as soon as he came back again.- --A lot of them are empty!

Alucard: -Another fanged grin.- Show me, and slowly. I must convey my coffin to a safe place. -He really wasn't keen on zipping through the place, even if he were able, and wanted a good look about on the way.-

Impulse: Slowly? I'm already moving slow enough, and you want me to go slower? -The smile dropped off of his face, an exaggerated sigh replaced it.- Alright, come on, it's this way. -He started off at normal speed, feet dragging and shoulders slumped.-

Alucard: -Grin still on his face, the vampire followed, coffin perched on his shoulder as if it weighed nothing, when in truth it bothered him more than a little that the thing was precariously awkward. The nuance made him frown, especially in light of information gleaned from the boy's blood. It had been sketchy, but was still processing. He'd have to lie comfortably indeed to think all this over.-
