Magda was sitting at the bar. She smiled wryly at the bartender and ordered another drink. She could feel a headache forming, and she rubbed her temples irritably. After her conversation with Jan Valentine, she wasn't in a good mood. Hopefully, though, the liquor and the people coming to join her would be able to help her forget that unpleasant incident.
Magda turned her attention back to her journal. She had never actually met the people who were coming to meet her, but she didn't really care right now. People were people, and liquor was liquor, and she could use both. Ba'ast seemed alright, at least, from what she'd seen over the journals. After Jan Valentine, though, almost anyone seemed pleasant. She glanced at her journal again, studying the images carefully so that she'd be able to recognize her companions when they arrived. She turned so she could see the door, waiting for the others to arrive.
