Ed glanced over at Al, noticing the frown, especially after Roy's words. He knew his brother well enough to know that he was probably following the same train of thought Ed was. That this Roy wasn't, precisely, the one of their world. It was easy as ever to fall into the role of explaining things, because it always seemed like it was he who had to piece things together.
"A battle," He said, voicing his thoughts out loud. "One I clearly don't remember. Given that the only battle I know you were in was against the Fuhrer. Yet, when you arrived you didn't know I turned in my State Watch. Either way, I've learned from that fight, you sustained an injury to your eye and wore an eyepatch. Al is from farther into my future than I am, and even he looks puzzled." Ed scratched at his chin a little, putting on hand on his hip and looking out the window.
"I think it's pretty damn safe to say you're a different Mustang," He looked over at the Colonel, then over at Al. "Like Envy had been."
He shook his head, running his automail hand through his hair with a heavy sigh. "Great, like things really weren't confusing and frustrating enough. Of course you'd manage to make it worse, bastard," It was a loose insult, because if he had to be honest, he was a little glad to see the old man again.
