I've Been Fighting to Let You Go [OPEN]

Jul 03, 2009 20:22

WHO: Chibiusa [sugarpinkbby] and OPEN for those who might be interested!
WHAT: Chibiusa is missing a dear friend. A lot. She's run off after Rei's "insensitive" words to find some time away from the house.
WHERE: Street corner. A random one!
WHEN: Sunset.

Chibiusa rubbed the tears from her tired eyes. The cobblestones that formed the street in front of her had begun to blend together into a watery mess of blacks, browns, and grays, clearing briefly only as she blinked. She wasn't sure how long she'd been here, seated on the corner of this street, her legs pulled up and held close to her chest, but it hardly mattered.

He hadn't come. Twinkle Yell hadn't worked. She'd shouted and shouted. Called and begged. She couldn't even find him in her dreams.

She bit gently on her lower lip as she leaned forward to rest her chin between her knees, tightening her grip around her legs.

Chibiusa couldn't remember much of what had happened before she appeared here, but she remembered the kindness of his face. She remembered his warmth. She remembered wanting nothing more than to help him and save the earth form the clutches of a dreamless world. She'd poured her heart and soul into fighting back against Nehelenia, against all odds, with nothing more than the love and belief in her heart. ...But had she even managed that? Her memory was a fuzzy haze. She could only see light. A blinding, beautiful light.

How had she come to be in this place, with Usagi, Rei, and Minako? This was a strange world, unlike anything she had seen before. She was trapped, and she felt ... she felt so alone. "Maybe it's a dream," she whispered. "Maybe it's a dream, and I can't find my way out. ...Pegasus...." She called for him, and her voice cracked. She buried her face in her legs, crying freely as her fingers curled into her palms. "I don't want to dream if I can't see you. I just want to see you. I'm not ready to say goodbye. I just want to see you....Helios...."
