Winry and Ed recovering, Ba'ast and Ed spending more and more time together, and all three of them wrapped and bandages in more places than Al could stand to look at. And no one to talk to about it. Everyone in the house had been involved, Nina was too young, and Miss Rukia... She was kind enough, but Al didn't think she would be much interested in listening to him...well, be rather childish about all this.
And then he thought back to Euphie, and how kind she'd been, how naturally the two of them had seemed to get along, and before he knew it, he was penning an entry in the journals. Before he could stop himself - because maybe what he needed was just to talk to someone.
So he'd seen Ed out the door with Den, and now waited in the parlor for Miss Euphie to arrive. There was a cat in his lap and a few others twined around his feet, their fuzzy warmth a small comfort.
