Returning [CLOSED to everyone who responded before]

( As before, Cross began their meeting just outside the broken gates to the northwest of the city, on the beaten and unused path into the jungle. )

And thankfully, he'd healed up well enough from the ball that movement wasn't a big issue.
Having loaded up on two guns, enough ammo for who the hell knew what, and a knife, Dean felt he was pretty damn prepared. Or at least as well as he could be. The hardest part of the whole endeavor had been lying to Sam, telling him he was running down to the marketplace for some fresh air. He'd tried to avoid lying ever since the deal with the Crossroads demon, but some things couldn't be avoided. After all, he couldn't have Sam getting hurt.
Although initially hesitant to go into the jungle, Dean followed the General in. If anyone knew what to do or where to go, he'd trust that guy for some batshit insane Dean-reasoning (that would probably not make sense to anyone but him).
