For the mage, the waitressing job served two purposes. Naturally, it provided an income for herself and Kohaku-chan, but it was also nice for meeting people... most of the time. It was incredibly frustrating, though, as it served no good as a mage's job, and only worked in a mundane sense. As Lucy leaned up against the frame between the kitchen and the seating area, she rested her head back in thought. It was a job, though, and without her spirits, could she really take on a mission anyway? Probably not, and that thought depressed and frustrated the teen.
At the jingle of the bell, however, Lucy put on a grand smile and adjusted the outfit. It was incredibly ridiculous and hardly fashionable, but if it got a few extra tips from patrons, she supposed she could bear it for the hours she worked each day. She walked over to the table, smiling at the patrons.
"Welcome to Junkhouse Ramen! I'll be your waitress today; I'm Lucy. Today's special is shrimp-flavored ramen. Do you know the menu or would you like extra time to decide?" The rehearsed words began to grind on her nerves, but this was a job, so she let the side of herself that enjoyed dressing up and looking nice take over to get her through the day.
