T-thread crashing? :O 96pineapples April 10 2009, 08:29:47 UTC
Chrome winced as she walked unsteadily down the streets, using her trident to keep herself upright. She had gone a little overboard in training that afternoon, which left her unconcious for at least four hours. She had only wanted to get stronger, for her friends' sake, her own sake and to be of more use to Mukuro- it usually meant her training hours were long and hard in order to make up for her inabilty to be as strong as the boys she knew ( ... )

Thread crashing! \o/ bratwonder April 10 2009, 09:23:16 UTC
Footsteps carried on cobblestones, and it caught Robin's attention when one set had a third, metal clunk in the pace. Leslie had a cane when she walked sometimes (they took turns covering her walk home through Crime Alley) but it never sounded that heavy, not even when she was really tired.

Robin slacked his pace, pulled a three-point swing around the corner of the next house, swung past a silent white owl - man, you never saw those in the big city - and landed on a chimney to take a look.

Wow. She was kinda young to be out this late.

Aaaand he'd totally been spotted, hadn't he. Well, that was what you got in bright red and yellow. He gave her a grin and leaned forward on the perch. New town, new people, right?

Chrome stared up, even more bewildered. Well, it didn't seem like the boy really was sneaking around(and she privately thought such bright colours on his weird costume didn't help with the sneaking around).

Hesitating for a moment, she raised a hand in a somewhat shy wave. The white owl swooped down from the sky and landed on the roof next to Robin, studying the boy with curiousity.

He waved once back, brightening, and then did a doubletake at the owl.

Well, Selina Kyle talked to cats.

So he gave the owl a little salute, and then dropped directly backwards into the shadows, behind the chimney and off the house. A little bit of slipping through the shadows later - which is what you got when you had an all-concealing black cape and knew how to use it - he appeared in the alleyway right by Chrome.

"You're out late." The tone was friendly and totally at odds with the full-cape look.

She was hanging onto that thing like she was about to fall over, too. Gee. "Need some help getting back?"

xD Sure thing! 96pineapples April 10 2009, 10:32:41 UTC
Chrome blinked, startled before shaking her head.
A pause. "You're out late too," she pointed out and almost as an after thought, she added:

"I'll be fine." Of course, what she said and what she looked like didn't quite match up.

She was almost certain the boy was younger than her. Almost. The ages of people in this place didn't match their appearance most of the time.

The owl hooted, ruffling its feathers in irritation before it swooped down and landed on Chrome's shoulder, determined to stare at the strangely dressed boy for as long as it could. And maybe preen his hair.

"Yeah, but I work this late." Robin shifted into the light a little, totally self-assured. She might be his age, somewhere around there, but no matter how well she could use that weapon on a normal day she was pretty obviously wiped now. Maybe he could just track her quietly later, make sure she got home.

"...I guess you've got your own bodyguard already, huh?" He nodded to the owl, smirking a little. You had to be a lot more intimidating than that (six foot eight with the ears, glaring full-force from on high) to stare him down.

Chrome watched him carefully. An enemy would have made his or her move the moment they saw how exhausted she was- he didn't look like he would attack her any time soon but she didn't feel like relaxing her guard.

"Mm...I suppose I do," She said quietly, lightly stroking the owl's feathers. The owl momentarily forgot its ire and leaned into her touch, cooing.

When it didn't seem like there was anything more to say, she tilted her head in his direction.

"I'll be off then." And promptly turned on her heel to make her way back to Haru's and Karin's house. It was an abrupt goodbye and possibly rude but Chrome had never been good at interacting in a good social way with others.

"Be careful out there." he called after her, a little nonplussed. Oh well, time to pick the patrol back up anyway. He made a mental note of her direction, and looped back around to check on her a couple more times on his way.
