WHO: [[The Newbies]] Kurt Wagner (X-Men Evolution), Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach), Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet), and Yukari Takeba (Persona 3) plus [[The Welcome Wagon]] Sha Gojyo (Saiyuki), Tsubaki Nakatsuki (Soul Eater), and Nuala (Hellboy)
WHAT: The first Welcome Wagon log - the Arrival boat lands!
WHERE: The docks
WHEN: Day 290 (Jan 11 2009)
The boat pulling into the docks was unique because it was the only sailing vessel in the marina - the only one seaworthy enough to go that far out into the bay to pick up Arrivals.
For the most part, the guards weren't surprised. A bright white light burst out like the sun through a magnifying glass and before long one, two, three people were on the deck of the ship, disoriented as all Arrivals usually were. The bustle of normality was what distracted the Guards - clad in light mail armor and no faceplates - from the fact that a young woman was lying bleeding on their deck.
"GET THE BOAT BACK TO SHORE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AN ARRIVAL NEEDS ATTENTION!" That was the cry that had rung out when they discovered Rukia with a 4-inch-wide wound across her midsection. For the next half hour that the boat took to get back to the shore, one Guard after another was trying to bandage the wound with spare cloth but to mostly no avail.

As the sun was setting, Sha Gojyo walked towards the beach, memories washing through him with each breaking wave. He'd met Rikku on the beach, played with her there, and some small part of him hoped he might find her there again. He didn't want to think about what would happen if she showed up on the boat one day, with no memories of him at all.
Nearby was the extremely odd growth that had planted itself in the beach that day - a branch. Gojyo shook his head and paid it no mind - for now - except to note the woman that seemed to be transfixed by its presence, but he'd never spoken with before: Nuala.
He did see someone else standing on the beach, though - another girl he'd met, but recognized from her cute face: Tsubaki Nakatsuki. He walked towards her and the docks just as the boat was pulling in. "Gonna' greet th' new kids?" Without waiting for an answer, the lanky man walked along the wooden structure until he came to the gangplank.
Wonder what th' hustle an' bustle's all about...
