If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see? )

"Peevish, yes - most definitely," he said, nodding in Jade's direction before turning his attention to Cloud. "But familiar, well, that's something else."

He straightened, folding his arms about his chest as he looked down at the blonde, his thoughtful frown deepening.

"What exactly do you know about it, then? Familiar is what you said it was - familiar, which means you've got to feel some sort of connection to it, which means that you've got to know something similar to it, or know of it, at least. Have you seen anything of the like before? I won't get into a whole dissertation on resonance and whatnot right here, but I'm sure if you've been around and perceptive of the journal entries you'll know all about that already." The Doctor adjusted his glasses, slipping his sonic screwdriver out of his pocket and tapping it against his palm.

"Although Mister Jade is right - it's probably easier to tell seeing it in action. Without any sort of demonstration than all we've got is a gem that feels awfully familiar, and that isn't much to go by, is it?"
