There was a little something more to Lorin than she gave on, but he wasn't too worried about that, and he certainly wasn't going to spend a whole trip around the town getting bent up over it. A date as a date, and it was a good way to get to know the place anyway, since Dagger seemed to need a little space to sort out feelings and memories and the fact that there were two of him in her life.

Hell, he needed a little time to sort that out.

He still cared about Dagger - of course he did - but if she needed her time, he'd give it to her. None of these escapades of his were ever serious - and the girls he flirted with and Dagger herself knew it. At the end of the day, there was only one of them he'd settle down for - only one of them that "mattered." But he could have fun with them, play at games and stock pickup lines, make new friends and be sociable. It was just who he was.

"Yo, Lorin," he said, waving as he approached her. He stuck his hands in his pockets, flashing her a grin before looking out around the Market. "You look nice. Hope I didn't keep you waiting long?"

Aly looked up at him, a good few inches taller than herself. He'd been thinking when he came up to her, but she kept her face stable. A Player's daughter she wasn't, but acting was a knack you had to have to be a spy. "Not at all, and thank you. It's been nicer this past week than normal." She returned the smile.

She fingered the seam of her skirt a little. "What do you want to see first? There's so much to look at here." A soft giggle. It was bigger than Corus, but, still, she remained unimpressed, both by Zidane and the city.

He'd met someone he knew, a girl he called Dagger. Of these Councilors, Dagger was one. It had been created before Aly's arrival, and to her, they hadn't been doing much, but there was a possibility they were doing things more discreetly. It appeared as though Lt. Sutcliff was responsible for the drop in crime rates, and the locals agreed on it.

She gently touched her purse, as if to make sure the pouch was still there. No need for Zidane to realize she had a dagger up each sleeve and one on her back. He also didn't need to know she had a dagger on each leg, and truly didn't need to use it to defend herself should he prove less than honorable.

With all the fidgeting she was doing, Zidane could've sworn she was nervous. He reached out to pat her on the shoulder, even if he had a tiny inkling they weren't genuine nerves.

"Hey, relax," he said, then thudded a fist to his chest. "I know how to take care of a girl."

With a wink he offered his elbow.

"Lunch'd be easier to do with a place to eat, right? Let's go find us some good place to eat."

She smiled hesitantly, then broadened into a not-genuine smile, but he wouldn't know the cool calculations of him that was going on beneath the blond wig Aly still wore. She slipped her arm into his.

She gently thunked her other palm against her forehead. "Oh, how airbrained of me! What kinds of food do you like?" She smiled again at him, as if being around him relaxed her nervousness.

She'd play this game of his. It was a little fun right now.

What kinds of food? He ate most anything, usually... but it wasn't all that nice to tell a girl that, now was it?

"You know, I don't think the stuff from my world's going to be around here, so I can't say," he said, shrugging as he pulled her out into the street, letting the more appetizing smells lead them.

"I'm not picky anyway. How about this - smell that? Somethin's cooking somewhere! What's the first food that comes to mind?"

She giggled, "Well, chicken, I think. Seafood? It's a port city so they probably have really good fish!"

Or, maybe... You know, she wanted to see the seedier parts of town that generally hung around the docks. Because Aly wanted to have connections and grittier places were much easier to get information from.

"What do you think~♥?"
