Bang, bang, Europe's going to weep

WHO:Brad and Schuldig
WHAT:Exploring
WHERE:In the Market
WHEN: Late on day 195

He was so glad to be out of the Safe House. He’d never done well, being cooped up while on the run, waiting for the heat to dye down when they’d succeeded on a particularly impressive hit.

Schuldig walked next to Brad, hands in his pocket out of habit, and taking in all of the strange sights sounds of the market. Normally he’d be playing, lost in the group of the people. Swimming in their brains, and searching for anything either interesting, or of use.

He was still trying of course, constantly battering at the walls in his head, trying to get out. He didn’t even have to think about it, the attempt came so naturally, and it was what made him dangerous. Unlike some Telepaths, he didn’t have to deliberately seek someone’s thoughts. Just walking past them was enough to pick up the peripheral, outermost thoughts. It was like walking past a radio or a television. The thoughts were there and just floated into his head, sound image… everything so powerful they could be his. In a crowd, or even just a fairly populated area like the market, it was thrilling and exhilarating. Like being in a hurricane of thoughts and feelings.

“At least the food looks somewhat European. No more Japanese!” he commented cheerfully to Crawford, breaking the steely silence. “If we can shake off the bees, it might not be so bad here.”
