WHO: Zikhadhara (
godking), his servants (
templeguardian and
rivelatademon), and their prisoner Lady Subaru (
crimson_knight1)
WHAT: A Very Important Conversation
WHERE: Jungle Temple
WHEN: Day 142 (back-logged by 16 days)
Where no mortal had tred in weeks, this slip of a girl had now been for 15 days. In the deepest corner of the temple was Zikhadhara's Cove. Once, he had trusted Leaks and Kagari and Kurama to see him and speak with him in this area, but now it was only the changed form of Leaks and his new kindred.
A pile of silken pillows with ornate tassles was where the Jaguar God slept every night, in a corner across from the entrance to the room, lined with sigils to bar entry from those he didn't wish to entertain. In the corner directly opposite him was where the lovely maiden now hung in chains. Every morning the great cat would stretch and paw at his pillows, then - as he stepped off of the pile - a ring of white-hot fire would envelope his body from each end, transforming him into an attractive humanoid - black hair tied back in a braid, tanned skin, and a cloak of teal wrapped around his front and waist.
He sauntered up to her and smiled pleasantly. This could be the morning... "Have you had enough, yet? Are you ready to give me answers instead?"
Up until this point, she had been demanding he give her answers to the basic questions every new citizen of Rivelata asked: why were they brought to Rivelata, how, where do people go when they die, etc. etc. etc. And each day that she proved uncooperative, he showed her the consequences: rakes across her body with his cat claws, lashes across her extremities with a whip, and the occasional club to her stomach and head with Leaks' large tail.
That was the other notable feature in the room. In the ceiling was a tunnel of recent construction, twisting and turning before it made it to the surface, but well-carved nonetheless. That was where Leaks reptilian body would come emerge from, menacing and looming over Zikhadhara no matter where the god moved in the room.
"I say she dies if this keeps up," the beast insisted.
But Zikhadhara shook his head. "That will not do. She can yet be useful to us..." He stared straight at Subaru, looking deep in her eyes. "She could be my new Princess."
