WHAT: Axel the mother hen comes to get Roxas after he's been attacked
WHERE: Near a church
WHEN: Day 150

This was not the best thing that could have happened. Mind, it probably would have been helpful if he had actually found a place to live, but that wasn't his biggest problem at the moment.

The bleeding had stopped, ( Read more... )

Roxas had fallen asleep on the couch shortly after Axel, dead asleep until the next morning. He still felt rather ill, but managed to ignore it enough to sit up. Axel had apparently spend the night on the floor, so he slid down next to him.

"Axel?" he asked, not sure whether he was trying to wake the redhead or not.

Either he'd gotten up to grab one, or someone had been kind enough to drape a blanket over the prone man, but when Roxas called Axel's name, he groaned and pulled it over his head. "Five more minutes," he mumbled.

His eyes then shot open and he jumped up and ran into the bathroom to vomit.

Roxas raised an eyebrow at him as he darted off, but figured out what was wrong rather quickly. "Well, there goes the 'are you ok' question," he muttered, trying to pull himself up. He managed to get on the couch again, but wasn't quite able to stand- the many gashes added with the pain in his joints wouldn't let him at the moment.

The toilet flushed, and Axel came back out slowly, clutching his stomach and looking quite pale - well, more so than usual. He moaned as he sat down at the end of the couch, avoiding Roxas's feet.

"Mornin'," he mumbled, giving Roxas a weak smile.

"I'll skip the 'are you ok' since that seems to be a no," the blonde said simply, head falling back on the sofa. Both of them were feeling terrible now, and he couldn't help but wonder how long it would take for it to get itself over with.

Axel groaned in response. "What about you? Does the floor feel like it's moving to you?" he asked his friend, shooting a glance over at Roxas.

"Yea, pretty much," he sighed, leaning on the redhead in hopes that this would somehow help. This made it considerably easier to tell that the movement he saw was not caused him since he was staying still, and now he was there he didn't want to move. It would make his head spin more.

There was a Roxas leaning against him. The proximity made Axel slightly uncomfortable, but he was too dizzy to do anything about it but frown and wiggle a little.

Roxas looked up at him as much as he could. "What?" he asked simply. He didn't seem to understand personal space when it came to other people.

"You're heavy," was all he said. He could already feel his arm falling asleep, but that wasn't the only reason. Roxas was very much in his bubble, but he was too tired and bleh to start a fight with his friend.

Roxas clearly didn't care about how heavy he was, staying where he was. "How long d'you think this is going to last?"

"No clue," Axel admitted. If what Hiruma and Elphaba said was true, he was in for QUITE the ride. As a bird, no less. His mind was racing in panic as he tried to figure out exactly WHAT was going to happen to him.

It didn't help that he needed to barf again.

Roxas raised an eyebrow at him, noting that he looked like he was going to throw up again. "Am I making you uncomfortable?" he asked. He supposed it could have just been the sickness, but he had recalled something about personal space.

Axel shifted. Yes, anyone with eyes could see that, but no way was he ever going to admit it, especially to Roxas. "Nah, not really," he lied.

It was quiet for a minute, then his back began to burn. As someone accustomed to fire (immune to it, even) the sensation was unfamiliar, but felt all the same. He made a strangled scream and jumped up, clawing at his back.

Roxas had no idea what was going on, eyes wide. He figured out what was going as soon as he saw feathers. Well, that answered the how long it's going to last, at least for Axel.

His shirt now off, Axel was twisting around, trying to see WHAT IN FUCK'S NAME was going on back there, and for a while he assumed that the red he was seeing was his hair.

Except he didn't have hair growing on his back like that. Or his forearms, which were also burning like hell. He peered at his arm once the pain subsided, and his eyes widened. "Oh FUCK."

Axel dashed into the bathroom, and twisted around in the mirror. Feathers.

SHIT.
