Renji was used to the pain by now. He wasn't worried.
His forehead and ribs were the places that had hurt most to get tatooed, but today he was planning on getting the tats to run further down his legs, and because there was more flesh there, it wouldn't be bad at all.
He didn't know if Fay could actually do this, but that was a risk he was willing to take. His life hadn't been put on hold when he'd come to Rivelata, and so the representation of his life on his skin should not stop developing, either. His tattoos were more than part of him, they were who he was.
He rapped on his neighbour's door loudly, a small smile on his face. He got new tattoos for every big accomplishment, and this certainly qualified.
He'd gotten Byakuya Kuchiki to fall in love with him.
