Living above a ramen stand wasn't all THAT bad. Sure, she hardly ever touched the stuff herself, preferring more refined and expensive dishes, but it wasn't the worst thing she ever smelled or ingested. She doubted she could get the food she was more used to here without spending all her savings at once, anyways, and long term survival took precedence over a serving of fois gras. Kariya and Sho knew their stuff though and she found herself enjoying the noodle bowls a little more with each taste.
But today...Something about today made her feel...almost as if she was being watched? No, that couldn't be right. It was just her, Kariya, Sho, and the noodle kid Kintaro. Mitsuru had never had any problems with any of them in particular, probably because she spent most of her days at the library and looking for work, so if there were any problems going on between the boys, she knew not of it.
She heard noise in the distance, making her walk out onto the top of the stairs and looking around. Fighting? Fireworks, maybe? Did something blow up? Her ears couldn't quite tell.
But she still couldn't quite shake the feeling she was being watched from below...
