WHAT: The BFFs meet up after a very long time apart.
WHERE: Exorcist's Rivelata HQ
WHEN: Shortly after this conversation takes place.
Since being in Rivelata he had found everything to be a jumbled mass of unknown events and blind fumbling. His "return", as it apparently was, had been strange enough, discovering the Exorcists (Or at least General Cross) had been associating with Noah was somehow worse. And yet when the announcement had been made that the land would have a form of currency and everyone rushed to find accommodation and work he had to make a few choices.
One of which had been not to stay at the HQ but instead to keep an eye on his master who had willingly invited Noah into the house he was calling his own. This had separated him from the members of the Order and caused him a degree of guilt. However, when he weighed it against what happened to Suman-- no, he couldn't have taken the risk of that happening to Cross.
And then ironically it was an unknown illness that got him.
Still, he approached the Rivelata HQ and felt a little uneasy, not that he thought anyone would blame him for his course of actions but who could control irrational discomfort? Additionally, he was seeing Linali again. That caused both a sense of relief, excitement and strange happiness. In turn, that melted into guilt for feeling such things - it would have been better if she wasn't there, no matter how much comfort he may take in her being there. And then there was the little matter of promising to tell her everything and she had already obviously seemed distressed.
So yes, he was nervous even as he drew up closer and looked around swiftly for his friend.
