Daisya approached the flower shop a bit nervously and peered around at the vast array of choices.

Okay, okay, girls like flowers, so just... pick somethin' nice!

And yet they all looked nice, and on top of that they all smelled nice... and he put his palm to his forehead in confusion.

What kind of flowers do girls like?!

Kuja blinked at the newcomer and tilted his head. He giggled.

"What kind of girl is your date hm? You can't just pick any flower for a girl. It has to be the right flower."

Daisya jumped and looked at the newcomer, then smiled sheepishly and lifted his hands in a shrug. "That's the problem... I dunno! She's... well, she's pretty, an' she's nice... I'm not bein' real helpful, am I?"

Kuja laughed but not unkindly. Men, he sighed with a shake of his head.

"Pretty and nice? That's a start. Is she kind? Is she bubbly and cheery? Or quiet and elegant?" He poked the man's nose playfully. "Help me out here sweetie, or I can't help you."

Daisya blinked. He'd never met a man quite as cheerful as this one, but he didn't feel uneasy around him. In fact, he felt encouraged... surely he'd be able to help!

"Well, let's see," he mused. "She's not what I'd call bubbly but she's usually cheerful... oh, an' she beat the shit outta Kanda the other day!"

"Cheerful hm? And yet a fighter? That's an interesting girl you have, Mister-?" Kuja trailed off, offering him the chance to introduce himself.

He scanned the shop, not wanting to burden the poor florist who was probably swept off his feet with work. And besides, Kuja knew these kinds of things.

"Does she have a favorite color? Or time of day?"

"My name's Daisya," the Exorcist replied, "an'... uh... I dunno, to be honest. I mean, I've never really... taken a girl anywhere. Haven't had time!"

He smiled sheepishly and shook his head.

"I know she likes to take care of people... an' she's really protective. Her friends are the most important thing in the world to her."

"Pleasure to meet you Daisya. My name is Kuja." He smiled, then thought about his answer.

"Hm...Know what color dress she's going to wear? I don't want the flowers you give her to clash because that would be horrible."

Daisya bit his lip and sighed. "Well, it's... kinda blue an' white an'... a lotta colors." He smiled a bit and nodded. "Nice to meet you, Kuja."

((OOC: I have no idea what she's wearing ;\ We're doing a shopping log but it isn't done x.x))

{{Noooot a problem X3 We'll take the safe option}}

"Well then, if you don't know for sure," Kuja frowned in concentration, "then we'll go for a bouquet as a gift and not as a corsage to wear. How does that sound?"

"Let's see..." He wandered around the store and began to select a few stems of flowers. "Yellow tullips for sunshine in her smile. A sunflower too. A sprig of palm leaves for success. Some Nasturtium for victory. Orchids for maturity and calmness. Annnddd some lavender heather, because it seems you admire her."

He winked at Daisya, shifting the flowers into his arms. "Ask the florist to wrap these up nicely, and tell him thank you."

Kuja kissed his cheek. "I'll see you at the ball tonight."

Daisya looked down at the flowers and was about to thank Kuja, then blushed when the other man kissed him on the cheek. He wasn't used to people getting so close, though he didn't mind it - he just didn't have a very high opinion of himself as far as looks went.

"W-well, thanks...! I really appreciate it."

He smiled again and nodded. "I'll look forward to seein' you again, then..." And as instructed, he took the bouquet to the florist.

"Daisya," Kuja nodded, "And the handsome Mr Florist whom I never caught the name of-"

"Thanks and see you later!" He cheerily waved, before exiting the shop with his flowers safely cradled in his arms.

"Minamino Shuuichi!" Kurama called after him, not sure if he would hear it or not.

Quite the character, that one.

He turned to the other man. "Daisya-san, you said your name was? Would you like me to take those for you?"

Kurama laughed softly, but - truthfully - was glad for the help. Choosing flowers was harder work than it seemed, and though he had a bit of an advantage, it was nice to meet someone else willing and able to do so.

Smiling, he decided to let Kuja-san handle things. If something came up, he'd be here to help.
