Ritsuka: Ritsuka sighed as he sat on the bed, Yuiko was playing with the end of his tail as it flicked and swayed. The kitten was starting to get big but he was still as cute as always. Ritsuka rolled onto his stomach as he poked the kitten in the nose. The small boy laughed as the cat sneezed and batted at it's own nose. Another sigh passed his lips as he looked towards the window, he wondered when Soubi would be back. He had been gone for most of the day. Ritsuka would never say it, but he missed him- a lot.
Soubi: It would almost seem like that was Soubi's cue to return. He would leave around eight in the morning, and return about five in the evening. It was rare for him to be later than that, because he would always insist on getting home on time to take Ritsuka out for dinner. It wasn't a particularly difficult job, and he certainly didn't mind doing it. But he always seemed so tired when he got back to their room.
He offered the boy a small smile as he closed the door behind him, sighing groggily. Perhaps it was the early mornings. He had always been a night owl... "I'm home."
Ritsuka: Ritsuka's eyes shot to the door as it opened, a smile crossed his face as Soubi spoke. "Welcome home." He said in an unusal happy tone as he quickly got off the bed and stood infront of Soubi, his hands behind his back. "Did you have fun at work, Soubi?" he asked before his hands moved to his, pulling him softly towards the bed so he could sit down. Ritsuka knew he was tired, and with good reason. He really didn't find it fair that Soubi worked while he stayed at home, it made him feel- like a house wife.
Soubi: "It was fine," Soubi said, allowing himself to be tugged along. He was quite eager to sit down, and he almost flopped onto the bed when they arrived there. He put a hand over his forehead, easing down to lie on his back instead of sitting up. Oh goodness, that felt blissful. "The man I work for is a scholar, so I asked him if he could put some lesson plans together for you. Just because we're stuck here doesn't mean you should be neglecting your schooling..."
Ritsuka: Ritsuka smiled as Soubi followed, sitting nect to him on his knees as Soubi lied back onto the bed. "School?" He asked as his smile quickly turned into a small pout. "Why do I need school? No one else has to.." He said as his eyes shifted to the kitten who had now rested by Soubi's pillow.
Soubi: Soubi fixed Ritsuka with a severe expression, pursing his lips a little. It was like the look that a mother would give her child. "And what if we get back home and it's two years after when we left? You'll be so behind on your schoolwork, you won't even know what to do. Besides, it'll give you something to do while I'm at work."
Ritsuka: "It's not like I havn't missed enough over the year already.." He said as he looked away from the other. It was true, since he had met Soubi he was spending less and less time at school and more time running in circles with Soubi's riddles. But, it did give him something to do. "Fine.." He said in defeat as he corssed his arms over his chest.
Soubi: Soubi smiled, reaching out to pass a hand over Ritsuka's back. "Thank you." He sat up slowly, combing his fingers through his own hair. It made him feel better to know that Ritsuka would at least be getting an education while they were here. For some reason, he kept feeling that this was all his fault. "Do you want to go eat?"
Ritsuka: Ritsuka sighed he really didn't want to do school work, it seemed pointless. They were never leaving this place. Ritsuka shook his head. "No. I'm not hungry." He said as he got up off the bed, picking up Yuiko and moving towards the window.
Soubi: Soubi tilted his head to the side. He wouldn't be content with that answer, of course. He doubted Ritsuka had left to eat anything all day, and he couldn't have the poor boy starving himself to death. He sat up slowly, beginning to gather his hair into a ponytail at the nape of his neck. "You need to eat, Ritsuka. I'll go find you some food."
Ritsuka: Ritsuka sighed. "I said i'm not hungry." And if Soubi did make something, he just wouldn't eat it. The boy went back to watching the nothing outside the hotel, the end of his tail twitched every now and then. He had been in such a good mood to, why did Soubi always have to argue with him?
Soubi: "Have you eaten anything today?" He asked, looking at his sacrifice over his shoulder. "I only had breakfast. I'm starving..." He didn't mean to anger. He meant only to try and convince Ritsuka to eat a little something. "But if you're not hungry, I'll wait until later."
Ritsuka: Ritsuka growled softly. "If your hungry then eat!" He said as his glance went from the window to Soubi. "Just because I don't want anything doesn't mean you have to wait!" He said before pushing off the window and softly placing the kitten on the floor. Without another word he walked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. Yuiko ran to the door just as it closed, falling back onto his butt and meowing.
Soubi: Soubi watched Ritsuka storm off to the bathroom with an expression of complete confusion. Oh goodness, what had he done now? He couldn't even imagine. He didn't understand why everything he did seemed to make Ritsuka so angry. How did he manage that? Was he really such a terrible person?
He got to his feet and strode to the bathroom door with a soft sigh. "Ritsuka..."
Ritsuka: The boy said nothing as he turned the taps on in the tub. Soubi knew just what to say to piss him off, Ritsuka wondered if he did it on purpose. He sat on the floor, watching the tub fill up from over the side.
Soubi: "Ritsuka," Soubi repeatedly sadly, he hand on the doorknob. He had the notion to just open it, but then shook his head at the idea, moving it to rest on the smooth wood of the jamb instead. "Ritsuka, please answer me..."
Ritsuka: The boy ignored the question for a few moments, running his finger back and forth in the water. Ritsuka sighed he knew ignoring him wouldn't get him to go away. "What?" He asked as his gaze moved to the door.
Soubi: Soubi hesitated, opening his mouth and then closing it again as he tried to decide whether or not to speak. He had never bothered to truly ask any questions when Ritsuka got into one of these moods. He simply ignored it, assuming he would get over it and that would be it. But this time... it was particularly baffling. "Why are you angry?"
Ritsuka: Ritsuka stood up, walking to the door and opening it. "What kind of question is that?" He asked as he looked at Soubi, His eyes narrowed. "If you're hungry eat." He said in a short tone, before shuting the door again. He shook his head and pulled off his shirt, the bathroom was the only place in the house that he could relax. It was the second best room in the house back at home, next to his room of course.
Soubi: Soubi frowned deeply, leaning against the door. He was fighting with himself again, arguing with his conscience. It went back and forth through his mind, tossing around ideas, notions, what he should say compared to what he should do. And then quite suddenly, without even a speck of thought, he pushed the door open, took Ritsuka's face in both his hands, and bent down to press a firm, lingering kiss to his sacrifice's lips.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka looked up as the door opened, he didn't have much time to think before Soubi's lips were connected with his. The boys eyes widened as his cheeks flushed a deep red. He wanted to lean in, just go with it but his mind got the better of him. His hands rose to push against Soubi's chest as he broke the kiss. "Soubi!" He whined as he flailed.
Soubi: Soubi allowed his lips to drift away, but his hands lingered on the side of Ritsuka's head again. He stared the boy straight in the eye, bright blue boring into deep violet, and he spoke: "I'm sorry."
He straightened again, slipping out of the bathroom again and easing the door shut behind him.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka stood there stunned, why did he always do that? The boy shook his head before turning the water off. He looked towards the door for a moment before fully undressing. He quickly got into the tub, his back to the door. He pulled his knees close holding then to his chest, with a sigh he wished he had his duck. (k!)
Soubi: And then, as if appearing magically, there it was on the bathroom sink. A trinket Soubi had managed to procure in the marketplace. A small duck, glazed bright yellow with an orange beak and little black, beady eyes. It was made of delicate, hollow wood. Rubber and plastics were dismally hard to come back in this place, but it would float nevertheless. Soubi must have placed it there while Ritsuka was distracted by his lips.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka blinked as his eyes cought the yellow objeck on the sink, the boy moved, reaching out to take the duck in his hands. A small smile crossed his face as he softly placed it in the water. He sat back against the tub and sighed. Soubi was an idiot, but atleast he was a thoughtful idiot.
Soubi: But still, Soubi was not going to get dinner. He was very much like a puppy sometimes. Loyal to a fault, and he hated -- absolutely hated -- going anywhere without Ritsuka; even work, though that was sadly a necessary undertaking. So he returned to the bed, and rather quickly proceeded to pass out until Ritsuka returned.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka finished his bath and quickly dried off. He tied the large towel around his waist as he picked the duck up in his hands. He hesitated before opening the door and slowly walking out. He had forgotten his p.j's out by the bed and sighed as he sat on the side of the matress, looking for the clothing.
Soubi: It didn't matter much that Ritsuka was practically naked. Soubi was out like a light, still and peaceful, breath slow and even. He hadn't even thought to take his glasses off, so he laid there half-twisted in the sheets, fully clothed with his glasses pushed at an odd angle against the pillow.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka looked at Soubi from over his shoulder. He sighed and turned, reaching out to softly pull his glasses off. If he kept doing that he was going to break them. Ritsuka placed the on the small table on his side of the bed. Then went back to looking.
Soubi: That, however, woke Soubi almost immediately. He watched in silence as Ritsuka placed his glasses on the bedside table, shifted slightly as the boy searched for his clothing. One hand, steady and smooth, moved out to rest on Ritsuka's lower back, a smile spreading across his face as he felt the bare skin beneath his fingers.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka jumped as Soubi touched his back, the boy spinning around with a shocked look on his face. "S-Soubi." He said before his heart slowed down. "Don't scare me like that.." He added as he turned away. Geeze, was he trying to give him a heart attack? Ritsuka huffed as he failed to find what he was looking for. He really needed to start being more organized..
Soubi: "Sorry." Soubi's hand lingered there, pressed against the small of his back. It started up toward his shoulderblades after a moment, then back down again to begin a slow rhythm. Everyone liked having their back rubbed, didn't they?
Ritsuka: Ritsuka just tried to ignore it, or atleast look like he was. The boys eyes closed as he let out a shaky sigh, his hands fiditing with wooden duck. His cheeks slowly flushed a light pink as he sighed again, happer then the last.
Soubi: Soubi's hands were not so easy to ignore, particularly when they were working strong, lovely, painter's fingers over the knots in your back. Not that Ritsuka had knots in his muscles; he was young, nubile, and his skin was quite springy and pliant.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka started to wiggle alittle against the others fingers, his eyes opened slowly as he looked at Soubi out of the corner of his eye. He was doing it again.. Making Ritsuka feel helpless, hazed. The boy let out a heavy sigh as he ajusted his position.
Soubi: Soubi reached up to brush careful fingertips through the boy's hair, stroking his scalp firmly, brushing past both sets of ears before falling back down to massage his neck. He looked surprisingly content; that may have been his lack of sleep, or simply the fact that this was the most bare skin Ritsuka had ever allowed him to touch before.
Ritsuka: The boy moved his head into Soubi's fingers as he touch around his ears, much like a cat would. His head falling forward as his neck was touched. Ritsuka debated on making him stop, he knew it would only end in heart ach, just like every other time.
Soubi: Soubi sat up to press a heartbreakingly tender kiss to Ritsuka's shoulder, and then laid down again, letting both of his hands fall onto the bed. "I think I'm going to go back to sleep now. Alright?"
Ritsuka: Ritsuka's head was spinning, he took a deep breath as he rubbed his forehead with his hand. "Y-yea.. Whatever." He said as he moved back to the edge of the bed. The boy's hands balled into lose fists, he was stupid, why couldn't he just listen to himself? He knew it was going tohappen and yet every time Soubi pulled away it made the boy have mixed emotions, and he hated it.
Soubi: And with that, Soubi was out like a light once more.
Ritsuka: Ritsuka looked down at the floor, his pj's sticking out from under the bed. The boy sighed as he picked them up and made his way back into the bathroom to change before crawling back into bed and hoping for sleep.
