Prelude to a Disco [CLOSED]
WHO: Adam Monroe, Lauren Reed
WHAT: Adam sent out an open page for Lauren to report to his office via the journals. And surprisingly enough, Lauren acquiesces.
WHERE: ADAM'S OFFICE AT THE DISCO.
WHEN: Early evening
Maybe it wasn't a question as to if Adam Monroe had lost his mind. Perhaps he really should have been asking himself when this had happened.
He had plenty of reasons why, one of the biggest being what had happened in regards to Peter, and Lauren's apparent 'relationship' with Peter as well.
So she was probably expecting an immediate ambush or some other form of hostility upon entering his office, and would be expecting such a thing if she had known about what transpired with Hiro not all that long ago. Fortunate that she didn't know anything of the sort, really.
But an immediate ambush was not what he was going to provide, at least not of the most obvious physical sense. The sensory ambush, however, was unavoidable. It was an office at a disco, so he had it decorated rather appropriately, which deviated from his regular appearance. And Lauren had no way of knowing about his history with discos and other such things, nor would she believe any word about being several centuries old or any of it.
But festivity would be unexpected, with lights and decor as well as a rather disco-themed outfit, and that was one thing he could definitely provide.
