The first thing that drew him to her was that she looked so scared. Not just that, but vulnerable as well. She looked like she might run any minute, and hallucination or not, Wilson couldn't help but reach out to someone like that. It was a sort of complex of his- a need to fix broken people, a need to make a difference, no matter how cheesy that sounded, like it came straight from a Christmas infomercial.

So he didn't take a step forward, because that would just cause her to retreat even more quickly. Instead, Wilson raised his arms in front of him. Classic body language for, 'I won't harm you'. She looked shy. People like that often communicated better without words, anyways. It was a subtle language but after years of working with cancer patients, he knew it off by heart.

"Are you alright?" his voice was soothing, low and soft as so many people had told him. He had a gift. He could read people and heal not just their bodies, but set their minds at ease as well. "I won't hurt you, I promise." Wilson nodded once, thinking that the pinched, fearful look on her face reminded her so much of the expression on many of his patient's faces.

But then again- fear looked the same on every single face.

He waited, looking at her intently, but not too intently. That would just scare her off. And it seemed rather ridiculous, that he was doing this in a hallucination, that this meant so much to him in a hallucination, but he pushed that aside for now.

"What's your name?" best to start of simply. And he couldn't deny that he was curious. He also couldn't deny that the feeling of wanting to..fix this girl, as perverse as it might sound, was there as well.
