WHEN: Day after the pirates arrive, evening
It was, admittedly, risky. But the Queen had, admittedly, made it the easiest for him, out of all of the bounties, to live a relatively normal life in Rivelata. Admittedly, Cross acted like he had more freedom, and, in his foolishness, he probably did. As such, the Exorcist General would not have thought twice about this meeting, or even strolling into the Inn itself and hitting on some of the female pirates.
But Batman was not Cross Marian.
He had thought twice. And a third time. And a fifth. And a dozenth. In the end, however, his detective instinct, his need for knowledge outweighed the risk. If the Captain did, indeed, have extraordinary powers, Clark wondered if they were suppressed in this place, due to proximity to the crystal, or whether they were not, because the power-neutralizing field covered the whole known world. There were just too many unknowns. Too many variables. And there were too many answers that the pirates had that he needed.
If they were the enemies of the Godking, all the better. So, at the appointed time, he knocked twice softly, once loudly, and a last time softly before standing aside, waiting for the Captain to come out to meet him.
